The Route Building will include track, overhead wires,3rd and 4th ,sheds ,stations ,turntables ,crossings , watering towers, terminals, factories, stadiums, buildings and of course trains. If the game and hardware can’t handle the route the pop up says warning route cannot be played please try and fix this problem.Once finished they can be uploaded to the Creators Club
I don't think a route creator would ever work. It only really works for tsc because tsc is mostly in house while with UE4 it'd be ridiculous - not to mention dtg don't want bad routes ruining potential license deals. And the few good routes would take money from dtg which dtg definitely wouldn't want.
DTG have pretty much ruled out offering a generally available route editor for TSW. They can’t even give us a half decent scenario or timetable editor. If you want to create your own routes look elsewhere - TSC, Trainz or really retro MSTS or its modern third party editor TSRE.
This will not work because you need specialized knowledge for Unreal Engine 4 future UE5. Also this will cause some negative publicity to the game. That's why you're better off with sister game TSC
I think it will come by TSW6. It's happening. But TSW is still in development really. I think gradually things are happening.
I think a simple editor will come with TSW eventually. It has to. Just not now. They ruled it out because they want to limit the "when is it coming?" questions. I guess.
They’re adding small bits at a time like in TSW2 we had the livery and scenario designer. TSW3 we had improved lighting So you never know
That's not really true. Sure, you have to learn the Unreal Editor but that's not really challenging, just time consuming. If anything, learning TSC's editor is an even steeper learning curve because you have to learn scripting languages and multiple different tools and applications to properly develop a route. With Unreal, you do everything within one editor and you don't need to know any scripting languages or programming. Laying track, placing scenery, configuring rolling stock and signal systems, creating scenarios and timetables all done within one editor. The blueprint system provides an easy to use graphical interface for creating complex game play logic. You simply place nodes on a graph and connect them and Unreal takes care of the rest. Easy peasy. Those of us still pushing for an editor aren't willing to settle for TSC with it's outdated graphics, lack of immersion and first person perspective and less than half the possibilities that Unreal offers.
