Hey guys. I’m collaborating with a few other people to create a Glossop Route Enhancement Pack to improve the visuals of the route. Here’s a few changes I’ve made so far: - Station signage improvements - Upgraded route signalling visuals - New platform texture for Manchester Piccadilly - Upgraded lighting for Manchester Piccadilly - New station posters - 323 now looks more glossy (may adjust this) This is work in progress and more changes are to come. This will be a PC only mod once released.
Station signage font has been updated to correctly represent the real world font Northern use for their signage. Font changed from NR Brunel to Frutiger Bold.
Headlight emissive and visuals updated - tweaked the colour of the headlight and marker light colours and they both now emit a glow around them. The same applies for the tail light as well -
I know in the past you've done work on OHLE, any plans to make the ones in this route more dated and grubby looking?
Unfortunately all OLE structures on this route share the same textures. So if I change the Woodhead style OLE, it’ll then change the look of the other, newer OLE structures too. There really needs to be separate new and old OLE visuals. Ardwick Depot is supposed to have shiny, new looking OLE, yet it looks dated in game.
Morning guys. Some small ‘nice to have’ lighting improvements for the Northern Class 323 Changes: - Stronger emissive leading to a nice glow around the light source, making it look less ‘flat’ looking. - Both headlight and marker light have been tweaked in terms of colour temperature. The headlight is now a very slight warm white, with the marker light being a cold blue. - Tail lights also have stronger emissive. The comparison shots below show the default on the left, with the changes I’ve made on the right.
The yellow tiles that are on the edge of the platform for vision impaired passengers are quite flat aren't they, would be nice if they had a 3d model because they just look flat like a photo.
Nice work, looking forward to it. Would it be possible to include a scenario planner path extension for a way into the depot? The low amount of paths we get is ridiculous.
Now that you mention it, it does look very flat. I’ll see what I can do. SprattyHeath may have better experience with this, though.
Unfortunately I don’t use scenario planner, nor have any experience with it in regards to modding it.
Hello all, I thought it would be time to share what I've done for the new Glossop Line, like per usual I'll be splitting this up into different segments otherwise it would just be too big as a singular post. As per usual the first change with any UK route that I mod is the ballast, it has been changed from it's original dark grey into a more true to life brown shade.
Second change is of both the Broadbottom & the Dinting Vale viaducts. Both the splines, & supports have been retextured/recoloured to match their real life counterparts.
Broadbottom Station: Slight desaturation of the old brick colour & added some small minor local details to the main station buildings. Dinting Station: Red brick texture also desaturated to a slightly lighter shade as per reality
Hi chaps, Whilst your making these great changes, any chance you can modify the Manchester Piccadilly signs to their real life ones, examples below, basically it's adding the 'm' symbol as Network Rail add to their termini stations.
Hey. That was one of the first things I was going to change but unfortunately Rivet have used UE4’s autogenerated text, as well as the same blue background linked to multiple signs, so unfortunately I can’t do anything with that.
Great work from everyone as always, especially love the reworked viaduct, looks far better and true to life!
Unfortunately I’ve had to put this on hold for the foreseeable due to me having other commitments. Though I may come back to it in the future.
