One thing that seems strange is these two engines seem to power down to 0 and then power back up.Thou the GP9RM doesn't have the same pattern as the BR 08,So the br 08 and the gp9rm are both shunters so is the gp9rm have a similar shutdown and re amp system as the br 08 or is the gp9rm just broken?

The power changeover is fairly common to many diesel electrics - the class 66 and the sd40-2 do it too. Its essentially, if i recall, switching from series mode to parallel mode so it needs to zero the power, do the chagne and then re-apply the power again afterwhich you should have more power for the same amps.

So does the GP9RM have this switch?Because it just did this going to 0 amps at about 25 to 30 miles per hour before the amps begin to rise again.

Note:It also tended to drop to 0 amps randomly. Before building back up.
I read that many different companies rebuilt these GP9 into GP9RM and some didn't alway do it right or well. But for this simulation DTG didn't really need to go this far to simulate these potential flaws.

It’s not a flaw in the (re-)building process. It’s just the power changeover working as intended. It’s not random either.

I also tried the GP38-2 CN and it didn't do this so is it not present on some locomotive models?

The GP9 is not a shunter, but a general purpose engine; it also has about four times the horsepower of the Gronk.

So it's a mainline engine that can also do switching, got it.
