The Great Western is only shown is some routes which is shocking due to the fact that the Great Western yes it was the 3rd smallest in The Big 4 but also produced and has it’s own unique design instead most locomotives had outer vale gear they had inner gear for example. The TSC Riviera Line is beautiful but the immense amount of detail DTG have put into the scenery well at least not on the hills but still. The express, freight and stopping services in the TSW version could be. The 14XX for Stopping Services with auto coaches. 28XX for Freight Services The Castle Class for Express Trains
This would be an ideal route to bring GWR steam to TSW. In fact I’d be very surprised if it’s not already written up on the “to do” whiteboard at DTG Towers.
I was convinced when Spirit Of Steam was announced that it would be the Riviera Line as it's really the most idyllic steam route and could have looked great in TSW. Unfortunately we got what we got, but I still reckon DTG are planning to do it. In TSC they include it in deluxe editions regularly, so there must be interest in the route.
I too would be surprised if this wasn't already in the minds of some of the developers. It would certainly be a good base for plenty of DLC, not that we have seen any for the already existing steam routes yet. I think you would want a Pannier or Prairie too as although a 14xx and autocoach were quite often used on mainline stopping services, not sure they were on the Riviera route that often, although I know some of the Mortenhampstead branch services continued onto Paignton.
Yes definately on the Brixham branch. That was the problem with the TSC version, the Brixham branch train was a 57xx propelling a Collett brake end. Thankfull Victory Works came along with their 14xx and autocoach.
