yes that is one of the game limitations! In this mode it is not yet possible to choose from differences in the number of trains, which is possible in timetable mode. Good choice to choose for the lower timetable to give everyone the the possibility to play the journey mode!

Let's throw this one in as Devil's advocate...

Any comment on the Dealabs article that TSW4 is coming in September?

Whether TSW4 or just the late summer route bundle, will the Class 700 feature on any UK route?

My question is why was DTG able to get the AC sounds from the class 700 from Armstrong Powerhouse but not the DC sounds from Armstrong Powerhouse? That is very odd that you couldn't get the full sound set from AP especially considering the fact that players will use this train on DC mode on sehs and not run on overhead wires unless they run the train in scenario planner on a route with only overhead wires

    1) Is the PIS above (showing a service to Luton), an unintentional leak that Thameslink Core will be released soon (this summer), or was it simply used as a temporary placeholder?

    2) Will we retain the Dartford-Rainham BR465/9 services on SEHS Extended, or will these be (either partially or completely) replaced by the new Class 700 services?

All the services that run on the sehs route run from Rainham to Luton in real life but the route in game obviously doesn't go to Luton but ends at Dartford. It's no different then having the class 375 services having the destination set to London Victoria or Dover Priory even though you can't go there

True. Trying to remember examples of PIS for London Commuter (e.g. to London Bridge, Portsmouth Harbour etc.).

Where is the joints sounds? I mean on stream they are not hearable at all. Please, DTG, you've got the Class 465 joints sounds which is freaking godlike. Why don't you reuse them on other british EMU?

Sorry if this has been asked already: Since the difference between the Class 350 and Class 700 sounds seems to be the pitch, wouldn't it be relatively easy to change that? Or is it more complicated than that? Just going from what I've heard in a couple of YouTube-videos of the real 700s - other than the pitch, it sounded pretty much spot-on.

Enjoyed watching the stream. Found the demonstration on changing power mode very helpful.

To be fair buddy, they did say they had reached out to Microsoft yesterday afternoon as it’s a suspected licensing problem, which is not an issue that can be fixed by DTG I would imagine. We need to give them a bit of time. ;)

Just a quick question, didn’t daisy add the RLU/FLU/ALL boards. If so I don’t remember seeing them on the route?

Just had a quick look at the preview stream. I do wish the commentators would go silent so you can hear the sounds, constant talking over everything detracts somewhat from the value of the demonstration.

Still, it looks good and despite only being on a short stretch of route (for now), think I will be partaking. Sure it will only be a matter of hours before scenarios appear on Workshop for BML, BCC and Glossop!

Must admit I like the look of the 700 more than I thought I would. More tempted to purchase than I thought I would be. I've travelled on them a fair few times and it sounds good to me and something I can accept with the issues getting hold of genuine DC sounds (Unable to get moving recordings and difficulties with AP).

I just wish we knew a little more about the details of the two timetables and what we'll be losing in the performance version (Railtours? Static layers etc) :)

One thing to note about the AC sounds, is there not supposed to be a buzz when putting the reverser in forward or reverse?

Indeed, that's what I thought too of different locos vs the amount of timetable services. While London Commuter is obviously a very intense route memory-wise regardless, I'd of thought surely that SEHS with the huge amount of different rolling stock now would have been more memory intense overall? Thus, surely if you had a London Commuter timetable with just the 377, 387, 166, 66 (plus the extra 313, 375, 465 AI traffic etc) - how much more issue would it be for the 700 to be included?

Either way, considering now DTG have finally got the 700 to TSW, I really think the inclusion of the 700 should not be if, but when for London Commuter. Sure it might be a lot of work and complexity, but considering the loco's massive popularity (along with the popularity already of the epic London Commuter route/timetable) there would be justification, as well as a TOD 4 update for the route too.

The BML is a home route of the 700, and the highly limited scenario planner is nowhere near adequate for any realistic timetable. Plus, another factor, if the 700 gets any AC routes in TSW, then a lot of these services would originate from the BML anyway - so surely another reason for these to be represented in London Commuter in TSW?

Have just watched the stream. The train looks very good, I do like the panoramic view from the cab. The cab definitely has shades of some of the German EMU's. It sounds good to me, I have never heard on in real life but have heard them on videos on Youtube, they sound accurate enough for me.

They obviously know that there is much desire for the 700 to appear on BML, hopefully at some point it will but I suspect not in the near future.

Honestly for the price, 83 services, 7 scenarios is a good deal. I would love to have it layered to the BML but Just like the NYT timetable, I have to hope that they will do the right thing because I know they are fans too and so I’m confident it will be there at some point. Great job DTG on the 700. It looks great. Sounds all in all are good

It's simple... It's always the best way to hear the sounds in you're own game and not in a livestream with I guess speakers on. Headphones are the best way to hear the sounds!

Just finished the preview, overall very excited of finally seeing the 700 in TSW! Loved the enthusiasm from James and DTG, and I really hope the 700 gets a lot more routes! The model, both interior and external, looks absolutely brilliant, although a shame about the DC sounds - although I understand the reasoning as explained by DTG - however it does still sound quite acceptable, so not the end of the world and still pleased nonetheless.

Nice to see the extra AI-only 700 traffic too for SEHS, ironic though they are services coming to/from the BML even though it won't be on London Commuter... :D Anyway, as others have echoed, hopefully DTG could do this at some point as a whole lot of players would love to see the BML in TSW finally be fully complete (and a reason for a TOD 4 update too).

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already, but will there be thameslink-specific stop markers added onto the station platforms on SEHS? The ones that state the stopping point for ALL/FLU/RLU?

Looking forward to this release, it looks really well made!

I have to agree with you. I was desperately trying to catch all of the sounds (especially the brakes - yes, I’m weird like that) but there was almost no opportunity to. I think I’ll have to start requesting a silent sound demonstration on the preview q&a threads from now on.

Nice, thank you! I’ll get the 700 for SEHS since that’s what we’re getting but it’s BML that I really want to see it on.

Sorry to tag but DTG JD can this be looked at for future streams of this nature, it would be beneficial to have a section of the demo where just the sounds from the sim are audible, no chatter.

Well at one point even Matt commented that they kept talking over the departures, but they still carried on chatting. Seems like people are afraid of "dead air" but this isn't radio...

This is why I don't bother watching preview streams anymore. They always waffle on for ages before actually getting into it, and then spend most of the time talking over what's happening. It doesn't help that Matt is often a dreadful driver.

What I'd ideally want (in addition to the usual walkaround) is a full uninterrupted run on the route/loco with no commentary, and then all questions can be answered on a thread like this one, except with a lot more engagement from DTG.

Not averse to this - what I will say that most of it isn't idle chatter, it's responding to chat questions and reviewing things we've seen mentioned in threads like this.

Challenge is that, when we're remote, James and I can't actually hear gameplay (tech limitation), so it's tough for us to know what you folks can hear and coordinate that effectively. I don't really like the idea of 'dead air' segments, as, to be honest, that can just be pre-recorded (again, not a bad idea). The value of a stream is being able to interact and engage live.

Maybe adding on a prerecorded video of a couple of minutes of just game play with the audio turned up at the end of the stream? After you've already closed it kind of thing.

I agree with the value of a stream being able to interact and engage live.

I think that’s a great idea. I think AP does something similar when show casing a new pack. For example “traction motors” and you would play a short video to hear that and so on.

Essentially what I was looking for. I mean there’s nearly two hours of stream to otherwise chat and interact with the audience and if anything giving the pure in game experience at the start might stimulate the subsequent debate and presentation.

Good ideas here. I wouldn't mind it being a pre-recorded video (maybe even published separately beforehand) similar to what AP are doing. Some way of getting a good listen to the sounds. Seeing how you've started doing the 10-in-10 thing already, JD, it seems like a justified amount of workload to just get a few minutes of the sounds.

The problem with that is, it's not long enough. People were already saying they weren't getting enough info on the sound when that was posted.

Did the train loading indicator screen or the latest network status screens make it into the unit?
