It might be because they are recording the class 385 sounds but talking about the 385 sounds why didn't they use Itsya165 sound mod. No.1 they wouldn't have to wait for recording trips. No.2 we would get the update quicker for the sounds.
Because they probably want to use professional sound recordings done by actual sound equipment than a youtube video
But didn't they use a YouTube video for the sounds of the bakerloo. Edit: I understand that they couldn't get actual recordings because of lockdown.
I think that itsya165 sound pack is actually good and it sounds good to. Edit: true they probably do want actual recordings.
And itsya165 the sounds are not from a Youtube video people provide the sounds and he edits them in to his sound mods for TSW
https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c20-sounds/i3310-class-385-sound-mod - this is the mod.
You could have just edited your original reply instead of creating several replies for each thing you were going to say. It is what it is. It is their decision after all.
Rivet worked with us on the Glossop project, they're plenty busy As far as not using mods - obviously that's Rivet's choice, but i'm pretty sure there's a copyright minefield to navigate to bring a community mod into the game like that. Matt.
That's good to hear. Which side of things were they focusing on? Sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere but I only managed to watch a small part of the DTG livestream so didn't hear it if it was mentioned.
It seems rivet is involved of working on the last route before DTG does a big release. A pattern repeats itself cathcart, island line, and now Glossop…….. interesting
It'll either be Tsw4 or a 3 route bundle similar to what Rush hour was, personally I'm hoping it's the latter as I think it's a bit to soon for Tsw4 yet.
Rivet need to up their game on their sounds. I feel like I’m an echo but the the class 150 on WCL still sounds horrific. Many people comment on this but still nothing. Not even a reply to a direct comment from a Rivet member back to me.
What Rivet tend to do well is scenarios or their Journey mode. IOW 484 is quite boring after a few trips with the rather odd sounding train, but they have scenarios like After The Storm where you need to stop and remove obstacles. Of course in reality the PWay or MOM would be out doing that not the driver. And I regret to say I failed to stop short of a trampoline and the VivaRail unit derailed spectacularly. Think that’s not true to life, 50 tonne train vs. trampoline the train would still win, admittedly with a shower of sparks from the juice rail and the remains wrapped around the bogie.
Yep still quite a lot of issues which have all been listed out & acknowledged by Rivet, but no sign or commitment of anything further being done which is very disappointing.
I doubt they will do anything to fix things still haven't fixed the sound on the 150 and the wcl route has been out over a year now I think people will stop buying there product unless they start sorting things
Rivet Games tends to hibernate for months then suddenly out of nowhere they’re back with some news and promises, then like in most cases those promises are not fulfilled and they’re back being silent. It’s a common cycle. I really don’t expect any fix for the shopping trolley sound on Arosa Linie nor the terrible one from the Class 385.
I feel the same. I looked forward to it. Played it a few times but it feels lifeless. Unfortunately a common theme these days.
I’m the same, played them both a couple of times in the first week, never gone back to them. Disappointed.
