Absolutely no White Knight here. I believe in praise if due and critical constructive feedback if not. More than a few products I’ve left on the shelf recently due to perceived quality or other issues. Even Glossop I was sceptical about but in the end purchased it and didn’t regret my decision.
Agreed, while not being my particular cup of tea, I don't regret buying Glossop either, I just hope that the uk gets something more substantial next, like a section of the Ecml for example.
Well that would give the 700 a chance to really stretch it's legs with the non stop runs between Finsbury Park and Stevenage.
You'll get your buffet car one day I'm sure, saying that though, a class 55 with an updated rake of Mk1's with a buffet car would make a very good railtour pack imo.
Is that a source for the talk going around? As a customer who owns every Route and DLC from the beginning in 2017, I would say that a TSW4 in 2023 would seem a difficult pill to swallow with the history of troubled releases and fixes, as well as what TSW3 turned out to be when first released. However, if TSW4 was a migration to UE 5, that is intriguing.
Nah from my station each train goes to different destinations, Thameslink via Blackfriars and Southern to Victoria. I never get the choice.
Must have been living under a rock not to have seen this thread... https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw4-release-date-leaked.71336/ Of course nothing is confirmed but then DTG haven't rushed to deny either!
Can't wait till I get the 700 and one more question is three any news on what the training modules will be - Power change over?
No one has a perfect view, yet you seem to think that you do, just because you think that anyone who buys any Tsw related product day one is a alpha/beta tester doesn't make it a fact (which it really isn't)
People need to report the guy who's showing abuse towards us just look in the other forum. Edit: not you Javelin
not sure if it’s just me but it seems like there’s no shadows from the train underneath it? idk if this is a 700 specific issue as i’ve only just noticed it but could be apparent on other trains too
Not anything major, sounds like looking for issues. If driving the train from the cab, you’d never encounter the “issue”.
not ‘looking’ for anything bad. the 700 is one of my favourite trains ever and to have it in game is a godsend, it’s just something i noticed, that’s all
377 because the Southern service has fewer stops (i.e. quicker travel time). The seats are also not quite as awful as on the 700s. That being said, I often had to fall back on 700s for various reasons.
I spend more time playing the game than I do reading forums. I didn't buy TSW3 right away because none of us were sure it would even work. When it turned out to be basically an update for TSW2 and didn't have major problems, I decided to become a customer-tester by paying the money; as we do with every new Route released.
Also really looking forward to it, helps that SEHS is one of the best routes in the game. Only going to be improved more with more traffic.
I feel bringing the class 700/0 to TSW was pointless because you will only be able to drive it from Northfleet to Rainham (Kent) which the total Distance is 14 miles (22 km) coming from someone like me, I like the feel of getting as much experience from simulators as possible TSW as a whole getting very dry, there's no life at all in the sim from passengers doing nothing, trains are never packed with passengers graphics feels like they change around so much to the point they look bad like I have no idea what dtg is doing. But when I watch their streams I listen very carefully to everything they say all I hear is fixes or can't do this or have to change this, maybe that's telling you to stop messing about with the sim and make it great to the point it wants me to carry on playing because right now sadly just feels like a showroom, not a simulator First release came out over 4years ago as a UK player UK routes at the moment from 4years ago to now level of routes and bringing life in the sim is basically dead and with no life sound harsh but it's true I'm not here to throw money at everything that gets released also I'm not here to moan or being rude I'm here to say how I feel about the sim. So will carry on watching streams and following up on updates to see if dtg is really out to give their fans an awesome SIM close to real life because at the moment all I see is the sim is in a bad place and not getting the treatment it deserves very easy to make money but as a fan get very little in return DTG you need to do a lot to keep me on the sim.
I highly disagree - it's finally amazing to see the Class 700 come to TSW after much demand and means it has a lot of chance of being potentially in newer routes rather than it being just in SEHS forever as it's a loco DLC. Also, now the /0 is in TSW, hopefully it means we can see the 12-car /1 some day as well - and I really hope DTG can finally bring the 700 to London Commuter. So, overall I'd argue that having the 700/0 in TSW is not pointless at all. Edit: Plus, distance is not everything. With the loco DLC relatively cheap when you get around 80 services (averaging around 45mins in duration on an already busy, fantastic route), plus several scenarios - that's good value for money.
As a player from my point of view seems pointless buddy. But I respect what you say, wasn't just the train itself that I was speaking about I actually want to see the sim grow not fall I'm not really bothered about scenarios at all, everyone looks at the sim in different ways and I respect everyone whatever way they play it. I like to play it close to real life as possible, but the sim just feels it's not at the level I see it at the moment, so god knows what direction this sim will hold for the future really for me as a player
It's actually Dartford to Rainham and while the mileage isn't amazing the journey time is still around 45 minutes which is pretty decent imo.
just seen the ambassador streams, I reallly wish DTG included a working TMS on this train, would have made the purchase a 10/10
it has a working TMS screen just not with some features what gets me is the sounds if it was the real motors that would be a 10/10
Agree with this 100%. While is disappointed is not coming out on the BML yet for the price and the amount of services (83 plus 7 scenarios) I think is a great deal). I remember paying 19.99 for the TSW classic and that only came with 3 scenarios on top of that another 19.99 for the A/P version that added another 3 scenarios. I'm usually very critical of DTG when is comes to DLC's, timetables, but in this case. you are getting a good deal.
Agree with cloudyskies21 and MAX1319. I am part of the ‘moaners’ if you like about the 700 not coming to BML but if the choice is between a 700 on SEHS and not at all, then I’d rather have the former. It looks very well done from what I’ve seen so far with only a few things I’m not sure about. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Have to say I'm actually very impressed with the 700 DLC from the ambassador streams. Along with the amount of services and scenarios it looks to be very good valve for money. So much so that I believe a new route will be coming with the 700 as main traction. This DLC is basically early access and 7 scenarios. I may be very wrong however, but it's a day 1 for me 100%.
I agree. But I do think I will come in the form of the 700/1. The 700/0 will layer in this new U/K A/C route
