Good afternoon folks, This is a dedicated thread for collecting feedback for the Class 700 that is releasing today to compile it into one area that our teams can monitor more efficiently. We ask you please keep the discussion in this channel relevant to Class 700 responses only. First and foremost, we hope you enjoy it! As a reminder we welcome all feedback, however, please ensure it is constructive and include as much detail as you can when referring to issues you have encountered - this will help us identify the problems. Please submit any bugs you might experience to our Technical Reports section - and please read our guide there on how to raise an issue with the information we’ll need to reproduce it internally. Class 700 Timetable During the testing window, we’ve identified some difficulties with performance on certain consoles (specifically Xbox Series S) with all the new services being added to Southeastern High Speed. As a result, we will be providing a full timetable, and a smaller, less memory-demanding timetable, which will mainly remove some static stock and less-visible AI services. Players will have the smaller timetable by default in Journey Mode, and the option to try the more memory-intensive timetable in the services menu. PS5: After installing I now have an additional "MISSING NAME" entry in the train selection screen (Train Depot -> Timetable, also Scenarios and Training Modules). Pretty - though not 100% - sure that wasn't there before.
Played it on the SEHS route and it is very very stuttery and that's playing on HD and not 4K, Playing on the PS4 Pro.
OK, you may be right about that faulty entry! Regarding stutters: Yes, it at least feels a bit more stuttery, even when the counter says 60 fps.
Very happy with this train, finally a UK train that has a window that lets you view the route you bought. If there are more UK trains like these, please add those routes ASAP
Why tsw dlc is always the last to unlock on steam, the console platforms are unlocked 8 hours before steam, so hard to wait....
Same here, have that missing name entry (PS5). I couldn't see the option to change between the two timetables which I thought there would be?
Overall, very pleased. 8.5/10 -Model is very excellent -Sounds are satisfactory -Good cab functionality I just have a few things to point out and one thing to improve on in the future. 1. No transformer buzz or hum when on AC under pantograph car 2. No reverser buzz when the reverser is in forward or reverse (90% sure it’s supposed to be there) 3. When building future AC/ duel voltage trains not that the lower and upper arm assemblies of the pantograph don’t change and haven’t really changed since it’s first iteration. The only thing that would need changing in the pan head, linkage between the head and the upper arm, presence or absence of spoilers on the knuckle and the frame. The model on the 700 is pretty much perfect so I recommend replicating or porting the model onto the next AC train.
Aren't there meant to be AI class 700 services running through the route when you spawn in on foot? I can not find them at all. Playing on PS4 slim.
I don't think the less intensive timetable is released yet, " a less memory-demanding timetable option will be available, in addition to the full timetable, shortly after release." So you already have the more intensive timetable as default. Edit: This contradicts the release blurb, no idea then!! "Players will have the smaller timetable by default in Journey Mode, and the option to try the more memory-intensive timetable in the services menu."
Been playing on the xbox one s and overall i’m loving it. Only real criticism i have is the lack of AC transformer buzz when in forward or reverse. When i do a fly by shot the train does sound a bit odd but that might just be a non fixable xbox issue. I can see this quickly becoming the best train in tsw, with its amazing model, generally great sounds and good amounts of functionality. 8.5/10 from me
That's just when steam releases stuff. It's always 10am PST/6PMGMT. The rare exception is a midnight release, but that's only for big launches.
Just got into it on series x, completed the tutorial and running a service from Rainham to Dartford. I don’t know the sounds of the train first hand but they are sounding good (maybe a slight bit quiet?) and I haven’t found a single issue with the train which is always a positive sign, overall it’s a great addon very possibly one of the best ones to date. Great work keep it up. I particularly like the parts where the train speaks back with the DRA and AWS being unisolated. A recommendation would be to go through safety systems turning on in the training module, as it’s doesn’t cover it and then you kinda have to work it within the 2 minutes of your first service. Edit: very picky recommendation/suggestion but it maybe an improvement to have journey mode have an even number of services in each direction before being able to unlock the next set. Currently it is; 4 to Raiham 2 to Dartford Gravesend to Gillingham scenario Due to the way I work through these i always prefer to switch ways each time to not have a similar service drive each time.
The dlc releases when the platform store updates. For steam that’s in the late afternoon. And it’s not that hard to be a steam player is it?
Does the compressor seem to be constantly on for anyone else? (under one of the disability access cars)
Firstly i really like this dlc, it works very well and is a great addition to SEHS. the only issue i'm having is that the aws/tpws warning comes on the HUD (the yellow circle warning on HUD) just over a second before the actual audible warning does, but the system still works overall so it's only a minor issue. and despite the usual stuttering around Hoo Junction, the route runs really well on my ps4 pro with all the layers enabled, so overall the class 700 is a really positive addition for me, so thanks!
Really enjoying the 700 it's a great addition to the game hopefully it gets its own route in the future as it can't be layered onto the bml but overall its brilliant great job
I’d forgotten about some of the stop markers being off. I stopped at an 8 car sign (HUD off) and when I toggled the HUD on it said I was still 40 feet away. Did it again at the next stop. You guys got me good there but other than that I’m very much enjoying it.
I’m on Xbox series x and it’s running fine, no issues at all. Very impressed with the amount of services and the amount of AI trains. Decent journey times in my opinion. Like the information boards in the carriages as well. Had to pause the game three times on my first run as I thought my car alarm was going off on my driveway, but then I realised it’s the noise from the power handle when applying power! Lol. (I’m so stupid!) Definitely worth the price (very reasonable). All in all a great addition to my collection. Very nice bit of work.
To add to my previous comment, the only other thing i'd like to see added here are the correct stop markers on the platforms across the SEHS network, the ones that state RLU/FLU/ALL.. that would really be great if possible
Now on the 700 when you pass 27 MPH you can here the sound looping am I the only person who's getting this? Edit: Basically the DC sound is looping
Only 2 things that may be an issue or intentional I have found are 1. the DRA announcement when you release it will cut off just before the end if you apply throttle and put the reverser forward whilst it plays Edit: move to right place (Unable to repeat step 1 since I reloaded the game) 1A.However if you go to exterior camera the audio of the DRA will stop. 2. You need to press the cab door open button twice for it to fully open or it only goes to the half way part and stops. edit 2: adding in link for video to recording of report on potential bug number 2 here
Compliments to the chef as I really like this dish. It's almost like I'm playing a route I never driven before. Never thought of SEHS as an exceptional route but being actually able to see the route in its full glory out of this cockpit makes this route feel different all of a sudden. The Glossop line was already a pleasant surprise and now this. I hope this is a positive trend I'm starting to notice
I also thought the sound was an alarm in my house, or that of a neighbour. Especially when I am outside the cab. I’ve never seen a 700 in real life, do they really sound like that?
You only need to push it once. It opens and closes in 2 steps. If I really want to be picky, that animation could have been better but that is just nitpicking
Tried that it holds until it’s pressed again on the button, on controller prompt it opens like that in 1
I was wondering that and have to say, even if prototypical - that chirping whoop whoop is rather irritating nothing like what you would expect DC traction to sound like.
PS5 Badly looped traction motor sound - sound plays for around a second, then there’s a gap and the sound continues and this is repeated constantly. The same with the AWS warning sound. And for another train, but much worse in this DLC - very quiet AWS sounds. The whole audio seems too quiet in the cab but when I crank up the volume to compensate, the AWS does not stand out at all and of course the bad looping of the warning sound. There is something wrong with the way your audio team are setting levels for PS5. Terrible. If I could, I would refund. Not an option on PS platforms, I’m afraid.
Just picked it up for £7.53 with the 'complete your collection' bundle on Steam as I already own all of the other SEHS content. Insanely good price, thanks for the loyalty discount DTG.
Looking for this on Steam but can't find it. Edit: Found it now, came up at £11.29 for me as I haven't got ROG or RHTT. Oh well, purchased as it gives me £1.70 off the full RRP for the Class 700 plus I get the two Class 37 packs which layer in on other routes too. So if the 700 doesn't cut muster I've got something out of it.
Just go on the page for the 700 itself, you'll find it just below the purchase button. I got the 700 and BR heavy freight pack for £11 thanks to the "complete your bundle" so that's nice.
Thanks guys, as above found and purchased. Ironic if I end up spending more time with the 37's, thrrrrasssshhhh!
I've travelled on-board class 700's, yes they sound exactly like that, when I heard one for the first time I thought to myself that it sounded like a car alarm lol.
Will judge myself later, but why is it they always fall down in the sound department? Without assuming anything looks like the issue with AP required something to be cobbled together at the last minute. Hopefully can get a rework. Watching DadRail earlier the AC sounded okay so pending fixes, the sooner we get an AC route for these, the better.
The 700 definitely needs it's own route Rainham to Dartford is a short stretch for it although it is enjoyable nice to see much more variety on sehs now hopefully other routes will that come to the game
Yes the class 465 deserves its own route, it is up there with the class 323 as one of the best UK trains in the sim. On SEHS you either get a 15 minute service or one which goes off map at both ends.
