Not only that, with access to the full tool set DTG can make far more in depth scenarios than players can with the current editor.
I disagree wholeheartedly with you on this, the sounds are about 85%-90% there and a 700 with wrong sounds is infinitely better than no 700
Overall I am impressed, there is a good level of detail, especially in the cab. The train is very nicely modelled. It is nice to have that panoramic view from the drivers seat. Okay the sounds aren't totally correct but they sound good enough to me, However, the sounds are too quiet, I know these modern trains are quiet but not that quiet. The track sounds over points are barely perceptible. I turned the volume up which improved things. However as a comparison after I had finished the service (or nearly I ran through a red signal approaching Rainham) I had a run in the 465 with the volume set the same. On setting the safety systems my cat ran for cover and when the vigilance alarm went off, I nearly did the same! I would say the volume on the 700 needs turning up a little. Also, I can't say I have noticed it before but the stopping points at Rochester and Chatham going towards Rainham are too fussy, 16 yards isn't close enough apparently! I would like also to see an AC route for this now. Why shouldn't it be made? It isn't as if the sounds are that far off. If they had used the sounds of the 375 I would be moaning but they seem to have done what they can. Maybe at some point they can get the correct sounds but for now these will do, I would rather this than not have the unit at all.
agree. We have waited long enough. I'm very happy with it .Can ask for a better price. great deal in my opinion
I would argue that if you want a particular train, and this was missing from the SEHS route then something close is better than nothing. Who should decide whether or not is it acceptable, there is not a written rule anywhere? If it sells well then there is your answer!
Hi, I buy the DLC on Epic Games and he dosen't appear in my TSW3 game. Do you have ideas to fix this issue ? Dear regards
Not sure if this already logged, but reloading a saved game the interior PIS is blank. Not a show stopper from the driving POV but aesthetically not that good. Something else missed in testing? Now off to try an AC run, see if the dire sounds are any better and louder.
I apparently ran through a red light approaching Rainham too, although I'm almost sure it was an AI spad rather than me! One to look into perhaps. I agree the sounds are a bit quiet on the 700. It's so good to be running a 700 and passing a 375 made up of blue and while liveried sets, or vice versa. Plenty of diverse traffic on the route now and that little extension makes it even better. It has been the year of SEHS and its certainly layerd up nicely into a well rounded network with a lot of different stock and things to do. I hope this approach is taken towards other UK routes in the future, it is certainly rivalling Riesa Dresden now in terms of diversity.
Well, I was ready to pay £12.99 for this, given the pre-release videos from British Ace were pretty thorough. But to see the bundle and get it for £7.53 due to having all of the other items already, I have to say I'm delighted with that loyalty reward. Things like this make me much more inclined to take a gamble on routes or locos that otherwise I might be on the fence about. Big thumbs up.
Yes it is. I know is wish full thinking but the only thing I would've had like on a future Southeastern route is for either the 375, 465, 395, or 700 to have a proper complete run. Say london victoria. Similar to TSC
Service 9P93 in journey mode. Started the service Saved at the station before northfleet Came back and just as i was in the tunnel before Strood I thought I would look in train. No passengers hardly and PIS screens were blank. Not sure if the save has jinxed me but thought I should highlight. If anyone else is doing this service might be worth a check. PC - Steam.
I dont think your standards are too high and each of have our own line in the sand when it comes to immersion, mine is unrealistic layers and yours is sounds. But ultimately we have the choice to buy or not buy, so I dont think its reasonable to say X shouldnt be made because of Y just because it doesnt meet our own criteria. As long as DTG are up front about what we can expect (and they've said for weeks that the sounds arent 100% authentic) then we can make an informed decision.
I've been playing with the 700 and I'm happy with it but the only glitches I found was. • No rain on the windshield when stopped\ on the back window to. • Not a lot of passengers on the train. • Sounds are good but looped bad. • and when the TPWS women say "over speed please contact the signaler" I have and she's repeating her self tried turning off the safety systems and the master key and nothing gets her to shut up.
if you go onto the TMS on the 700 there’s a ‘hauling mode’ button which i believe is for drags, maybe try that if you haven’t already
you have to wait 1 minute for it to time out and it will come up with a ‘BR’ button to release the brakes then u can get going again
Tan a snowstorm and the windshield iced up, which is pretty neat. The wipers didn’t clear the ice, which is also pretty neat. But then the windscreen heater button doesn’t work so I legit couldn’t see. Am I doing something wrong?
I would also like to suggest the two screens on the left of the train are dead space, its a shame. My suggestion would be take a stock image of each station on route from stop markers (so theres a couple for each platform, direction) and then have them trigger when you open the doors as I appreciate 12 live cameras etc would be silly to replicate. I do think though we should be moving to a point now where there are less dead screens. That aside I'm really enjoying the variety of stock on SEHS and i'm looking forward to seeing where else this will layer. I'm hoping there is another UK loco pack. I'd love to see more than a 66 for example. I've raised a support ticket with steam for the price difference but I feel this is a really nicely made DLC with a couple of small gremlins. Pleased.
The haul mode will isolate the electric head if you use not a cl.700 for towing. Its a bit ductape, since there would need a hose coupled to the "rescue pipe" to keep the parking brakes off. I have to do a few more tests, but good unit anyway.
Anyone added any services to the Awesome runs thread yet? I’ve only had time for two services and only encountered a red signal coming into Rainham. Great bit of DLC on first impressions though. Only thing that disappoints me is the lack of discount on PS5 compared to PC, despite having the same layers.
Mentioned the blank PIS a few posts above, when resuming a run. Just did a run from Lubeck to Hamburg on AC. The sounds are better and slightly louder but just seem a bit off to me. Come across as a bit stuttery and loopy also when shutting off power and coasting the traction noise continues so that when you put the power back on again, there is no appreciable change in pitch. I know DTG can't source the real sounds but that doesn't prevent the audio guy from buying a ticket and going out to rise/get some reference recordings to know what to aim for. If the 700 is going to be the flagship train on this years big summer release, then it needs serious work in the audio department. Not refunding as physics wise a nice train to drive plus I'd lose the ROG and RHTT packs but overall a little disappointing all round, givn the hype. Now reduce my rating to 6/10.
I didn't see the point in buying the RHTT don't see what it brings really also it would be good to add some more new trains to the game like the pendalino and a route to run it on I wonder if there will be a big release like rush hour
it only goes to rainham in timetable mode but you can drive it to faversham in scenario planner. i’ve made one where you drive from Dartford to Faversham as a made up summer special service called ‘ Thames link summer specials’ in creators club if you want to try it out
As I said in the other thread I am a firm beliver in credit when it's due, and I'll tell you something a lot is due here after completing all the scenarios, as it's the longest amount of time I have spent on SEHS without a break! The unit seems to be wonderfully modeled and sounds very good, I haven't noticed the mentioned looping yet, but as said above are a tad quite on the inside. It would really be a unit I would love to see be given a chance to stretch it's legs a bit more, preferably on an AC route. I am liking this recent trend of high quality locos/units being made for the game. I have got to say well done DTG!
I’ve just gone to look at how much the southeastern super starter pack would cost me as i’ve seen others getting the 700 for £7.50 or so as they already own everything else in it, and so do i, however it still says the pack will cost me the full £45. is this a steam only thing then for whatever reason, as i am on xbox?
So after playing about with the Class 700 I haven't seen any issues with the unit everything run well on sehs performance is good getting around 40 to 60fps (Ps5) just really two things need those stopping boards in for the class 700 and platform 0 at Rainham Nees passenger information screen on the platform apart from those two things it's a great dlc very happy with it
I'm enjoying this but it is a shame it didn't come out with a signature Thameslink route across London city centre or a 25kv main line (such as London -Peterborough).
Absolutely loving this train. Such a great addition to the high speed route. Only complaints would be that the in cab sounds are too low, and when the weather is set to sunny it’s very reflective. Just tried it on EDB-GLQ, works excellent in overhead power mode. This train needs a decorated route, hopefully that’s on the cards next. Well done DTG!
Let's hope so it's much needed I don't think they would of got the 700 in the game unless they had something up there sleeve we will hopefully see a big route for it
Mine was definitely red, I got two yellows, then a yellow and got complacent and couldn't stop in time!
Might be a bit off topic, but like this post if you think there should be an AC route (MML or ECML) dedicated the 700?
I'd rather a train I love with wrong/bad sounds, than not having it all in game. The sounds on the 700 really are pretty good as well, just need some volume balancing.
