I know it’s not gonna happen but I would love to see some line in the north east and east. Like GEML, c2c and maybe Elizabeth line.

I am sure the Elizabeth line doesn't run to North London though. It goes from east to central to west.

Well, let's hope that, if they do another section of the NEC, it comes with a full timetable and not just for Amtrak. It needs to include relevant CSX freight and Metro North suburban services with all applicable stock rosters.

Otherwise we might end up with another " NYT " disaster.

I hope for a classic 60s/70s cross border route in mainland Europe. Where you need to exchange engines and stuff...logically France-Germany. But more interesting would be France-Italy.

Or Netherlands to Germany via Bad Bentheim, in the early 1980's.
Also anything involving a train ferry - Puttgarden to Rodby or Helsingborg to Helsingor. Used to love travelling on trains that used those. Branch out so we can also drive the ships!

A route into Wales would be nice but can’t see that happening anytime soon :(

Newport to Hereford would be great in terms of length and layering in much of the existing UK collection, depending on era.

That and possibly extend it to Cardiff. Would make for a decent run of around 50-60 miles which should be manageable.

How about the actual route between Amsterdam and the Ruhrgebiet Hollandstrecke Duisburg/Bochum Oberhausen Arnhem Utrecht Centraal. If you have the Woodhead route just simply drop the class 77 NS 1500 inside Emmerich am Rhein and then have DB Baureihe 103 110.3 take it over from there to Duisburg Hbf. Speaking of Eisenbahnfahre Puttgarden Rødby the German side needs a dedicated shunter in the form of 290/363/365

I still want my driveable train ferry!
Now I'm sure you can probably list the names of all the ships on the Puttgarden to Rodby run...

I would be very disappointed if it didn't go to Shrewsbury, especially with all the semaphores in the area plus some of the nicest stretch of line is between Hereford and Shrewsbury.

I was setting DTG a realistic target! But yes the TSC version goes Newport to Salop and is a very nice drive.

Personally, I’d rather see it extend further onwards to Shrewsbury. Anything to get my hometown and it’s iconic signal box in the game ;)

The release of Glossop makes me think ECML is possible. Both Northern and LNER are owned by the government so there's clearly a working relationship there.

Plus Great Northern is the same as Southern/Gatwick Express/Thameslink. Another established relationship.

The only new train it would really need is the Azuma. And it could be paired with the Class 700 just like Acela and Trenton. A smart marketing strategy.

and first group own Lumo and Hull trains, first group also own avanti and GWR, so we might get the 802s and the 803s, the 180s might be a bit more difficult, and the 91s might be in a loco pack dlc

I still have a suspicion it could be a West Midlands Railway route, something else involving New Street.

Is it likely we will hear something next week in the road map ??. Hopefully at least a small tease or something.

I think come Tuesday we’ll get some clues if they put new routes in the roadmap with out any coding. Last year the same was done with US and German route.

For the US component; Im hoping for another NEC route or extension of NYT covering the NY Penn - New Rochelle section (preferably further to New Haven); along with the Fresh Pond, Harlem Waste & Hunts Pt spurs with of course the CSX layers....and we can then pretend NEC NY didnt happen :)

In all honesty though; I doubt that will be coming any time soon.....but its on my wishlist

I doubt this will happen but I hope if three routes are being planned on releasing soon they'll be a chance that one of them wouldn't be set in the 21st century. As I feel like we get too many modern routes which become lacklustre a tad when some of us lose interest in certain routes that are in this period due to them lacking things we wanted in the route, all of this is in my own opinion by the way.

I think we may see a departure from the normal British, German and USA offerings. I recall, somewhere unless I dreamt it, The Bullet train Japan which would be a headliner at anytime. Hopefully we spread the love to Netherlands and do a route out of Amsterdam which could potentially tie in with Tram Sim. Then the Spanish high speed Mediterranean train from Barcelona through Costa Dorada. In reality we will get a branch line like Bristol Temple Meads-Severn Beach which can utilise already expiating traction, another London based run (yawn), perhaps a German route from Berlin and a USA route from Florida!

All the London stuff is getting quite boring. It would be nice to get a new route which goes nowhere new as these have been far and few in betweenm

the last London based route that was released was an extended SEHS almost a year ago. after that they have released BCC, Edinburg and Glasgow, MML, Peak forest, and Glossip line. So I would say they have stayed out of the London area.

And they should stay away for at least another year, give the old ER some routes first too.

So maybe we should just stick to this thread and continue the conversations, after all only difference is the 3 routes would be under the TSW4 with some new features

Even with the potential TSW4 leak I’m still going with my original 3 routes. NYT updated timetable will be release possibly 3 weeks after the summer release since it will come with a core update of some sort. .Not sure if the project Brandon is working on is NYT related or something else.Nothing from the roadmap that show DTG is working on is a big hint . Sales numbers for the quarter have to be comparable to last year and the only way to do that is to put a product out for the consumer to purchase.
Expect big bundles comparable to last year’s TSW3 release. The question is are we going to find out on the August roadmap?? Time will tell

I definitely think it’s time for DTG to emerge and at least give us a clue as to what’s in the pipeline which, with release of the 700, has slowed to a trickle.

  37. idk where u have seen a leak for TSW4 as every era of TSW is 2 years would be only if they going to someone at long last move to unreal 5 and cut 8th gen and also go out and get 100% right sounds and deliver pure magic instead of the same old but yeah its dovetail its a wonderland

Don't worry, there will be an announcement about an announcements announcement coming soon in a stream in one month's time. Including the buy 2 dlcs for the price of 3 fantastic offer.

In all seriousness I think many of us could do with the JT route being announced properly. The debates over 700/1s or 0s invokes snoozing.

I hear you. Mine already gone back in the box in favour of steam runs on SoS and PFR plus a little outing in the newly revitalised 1938 stock. Never thought this day would come, when I could say Rivet have managed (after admittedly much coaxing and chivying) to come up with better sounds than DTG have on the 700.
A pair of 31’s also ticking over in Tees Yard waiting for me to take them out, too.

They can't just go out and attach microphones on a train and record sounds. It's less possible these days due to safety issues and the disruptions it can have and many other things. Some companies don't allow it at all. To get 100% sound recordings, there has to be 0 passengers on the train.

Might get 700 if it's in a humble bundle for pennies. Too much modelling going on now I can see JT route being next purchase unless it's got Layers that Will Ferrel would be proud of.
