This thread is only for people who have it, and play TSW on it: a computer. I am sorry for the console players but it is how it is. QUICK DISCLAIMER: I am not working on this mod at all, I have nothing to do with this, except being happy that it exists at all. This is theorizing and fact-telling, informing and what not. The DB Class 407 Electric Multiple Unit the Velaro D of the third generation of the Intercity-Express The ICE 3 Velaro D is an upcoming modded train for Train Sim World 3, developed by Folezz (aka. FolyLantern) The current status of the mod is " heavy work in progress", however, it is looking preeetty good already. (screenshots and other media farther below) First, some data of the real train The ICE 3 Velaro D is a highspeed train built by Siemens, and is part of the Intercity-Express train family by the Deutsche Bahn. It has a Vmax of 320 kilometers per hour, and measures an approximate length of 201 meters. A total of 439 passengers can take a seat in this rail vehicle. It operates in germany, but also in france. I cannot give further details on that since I am not that much of a german-train-fanboy or whatever (lmao). The mod (Be aware that the following informations are mostly guesses and not entirely correct.) So far the train has almost finished models, textures are still being worked on, sound is probably still some stuff missing, but I don't have much information on the sound other than that the motors from the cab sound SO AWESOME I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE on what about the safety systems and all that, but since the ICE 3 (probably the one from KWG) is being used as a base to mod the Velaro D ontop of it, I think the safety systems are there, just need some more texturing for them to display correctly inside the cab's screens (might aswell be done already). videos, images, sound and whatnot Folezz uploaded a video of the Velaro D's sound from the cab: pictures of the Velaro D have been found in the creators club (click the thumbnails for full image): https://creatorsclub.dovetailgames.com/mods/79093 Aswell as in one of the videos from Folezz (this is the best quality I can get, sorry if it looks low-quality): personal opinions pretty sick. love it. absolutely love it. friendly reminder to myself and everyone reading this that this is still work in progress so it still looks kind of off, but yeah. I can't tell when it will be ready for release, but lets not rush Folezz for that. patience is power. If you have more informations, please, hand them over! If you have opinions, please, share them! Have a nice day.
I have found a lot of images of the ICE 3 Velaro D now, all coming from the Railfan Shots page from Folezz. The PDF file should be attached. It is a PDF file because I can't put all the images in here. Bonus: Intercity control car, Vectron, Class 152 and Desiro HC images aswell:
Acctually the IC-Cabcar was more of a collab between Foly, Markus (me) and the guy whos model it is ^^
hello Markus. yeah I kind of knew already that multiple people are working on all these masterpieces, hope it isn't too bad that I only mentioned Foly until now
News: Folezz is actually trying to make the 407 be an actual DLC and it might be possible that it won't be releasing as a mod, maybe he get's to make a deal with DTG, but idk honestly, kinda disappointed
If it releases as an actual dlc then everyone will be able to buy it, where's if it was a mod, only PC players would be able to download it. So imo it would be better for the br407 to release as a dlc then it would as a mod.
the DTG-pricing of the Velaro D if it ever gets to be a DLC actually scares me, considering with TSW4 the prices of everything might increase, AGAIN
The price increase was to compensate for inflation but it's unlikely to increase for a while. The dlc back in tsw2 and tsw2020 days stayed their price for a couple of years before we got the increase in 2023 which is due to the aftermath of covid and everything going on in the world.
Interesting and I can see this an official downloadable content for the consoles including Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr ICE Dortmund München Hbf via Schnellfahrstrecke Rhein-Main and Schnellfahrstrecke Mannheim Ulm Hauptstrecke München Augsburg. Remember on SFS Mannheim Ulm you will need to use the sidings to let another train pass you when needed. Reason for it it was designed in the 1990s as a mix high speed route just like Hanover Würzburg
