I don't think there would be much point in adding a DMU since there are only 2 stations that need a diesel loco to access. A diesel shunter would be much better for services to the port at Aschaffenburg, the industrial sidings at Lohr and for shunting wagons at the various yards around the route. If the diesel shunter was compatible with the Ruhr Sieg Nord route as well, that would make it even better.

We need the shunter with a good set of wagins, especially container and open (Eanos?) wagons for scrap. It coule be used on all 3 German routes, they all have a great deal of sidings that can be visited.
A DMU would be useful as AI traffic on the line to give a bit of variety, and could be used as an ersatzzug for a scenario where the electric line has failed...

Ok but a shunter like Voith Gravita 265 or BR 294 would be better.

I would love a BR361 (V60), maybe a bit old for these routes but such a beauty ...

It is a good looking locomotive, but indeed quite old.

I think that the BR294 would be a good addition as it isn't super modern like the voith gravita, and at the same time not too old. Kind of the good in-between IMHO. Plus, 294s do shunt in Aschaffenburg IRL.

    Here's a video of a BR294 doing shunting work in Aschaffenburg :)

Ooooooh yes, a 361, or, 364/5 radio controlled, although that might be difficult to implement for the TSW team, I love these little shunters, great fun to play with, you can get them up to 60 kmh, and lots of them are still in operation on the DB network.

MSB is in 2005 so I think a BR 294 would be better than a modern Voith Gravita.

Not sure if MSB is set in 2005 or if RSN is, but yeah they're both set at least a couple years in the past. Also, the BR 294 is more iconic, and more common in general, right?

I was browsing Google for the Aschaffenburg Hafenbahn and noticed that they had 2 Deutz kg230b shunters (Images here: http://www.bahn-express.de/berichte/be225.htm ). They would make an interesting addition to the route.
I then noticed that they also have a former DR V100 as the transfer loco between the harbour and Aschaffenburg.
The V100 would make a lot of sense in TSW. as it could be used on this and the Rapid Transit route, and could also have been created for the Rostok route..
    Just a thought...
