I think SEHS has enough content for now. It’s great to have a single route with so much variety (although a lot of money has to be spent to unlock all this content). But I’d really like DTG to give some love to other british routes as well.

Matt has already said there’s nothing else to be added to SEHS, for me I just want DTG to give me a route past or present with lots of service variety. Lots of layers would be nice like the German routes.

To be honest I don't think anything else can be added to SEHS or Brighton mainline. The vast amount of different layers and AI layers / services with out causing significant pathing issues.

Lately TVL has been getting a lot of buzz especially with the Just Train addon and an unannounced background update don't quote me on this before or after the glossop line. Not too mention the JT addon includes the Class 142 Pacers which ran on TVL and there photographic evidence and videos to back that up. In my opinion TVL is one of many routes that are in need of revisiting. SEHS has been milked to it's limits, once the most popular route in Train Sim World now officially overstayed it's welcome to an extent but nonetheless I still enjoy it. If only OTHER routes like GWR,ECW, LIRR received that type of attention as well

Yes, I’d love to see GWE get an update, but alas, DTG have said they won’t be revisiting it. Still a good route though in my opinion.

Would you pay for 2x50 miles plugged with a lot of gameplay (both purchaisable as separate section), or are you asking for a single long route and the same price of 40 euros? Other option long route, but no new rolling stock but 3 loco dlcs instead.

Im almost sure we wont get all this in the usual one pack with the expected quality on top.

My prefered option is plugged sections getting long if players are purchaising them. On top the loco dlcs.

Impossible? No, just requires planning at the dev side because the timetable & archivments.

I love SEHS and I definitely prefer the approach DTG took, filling the route out with more individual loco content to make the timetable fuller. More of this where possible please!

I also agree with Matt that not every route release needs to be a massive, 50-100 mile run. Smaller routes where you can stay in the same train all day if you choose are great fun too. Variety is key here.

That also goes for the era of routes. I'd be disappointed if every potential ECML/WCML route release were modern day. For example, I'd rather have three segments of the ECML in different eras, one modern with the Azuma, one in the BR Blue era with a Deltic at the centre and then one in the golden age of steam with the LNER A4's taking the spotlight. The steam one would ideally be set along a segment featuring Stoke Bank where Mallard set it's record with a scenario recreation of the historic run :)

Going forward, I'd like to see Spirit of Steam get some locomotive add-ons in the same manner that SEHS has had. It's crying for it's timetable to be fleshed out with a wider variety of locomotives and services. Just enough that it feels more like you're running on a busy main line out from Crewe as you head towards Lime Street. A Jinty to do some shunting would also go down well too.

Another one to look at is Cathcart Circle, massive scope to add more of the Glasgow suburban network on the south side - out to Gourock, Wemyss Bay and Largs, down to Lanark, East Kilbride etc.

I'm sorry to read that, Matt -- as I see the situation, there's always room for additional scenarios and services (especially if they're shunting related). And, yes, I'd gladly purchase such a package.

90 miles in track mileage, not route length. track mileage ≠ route length

This is a good question, in this instance it depends on the type of route, say an east coast or west coast I would 100% take it as a full 100 mile route, but if it’s something like the Chiltern mainline I wouldn’t mind it been broken down into 2

I totally agree with you there. I don't mind modern era routes especially if they're local to me but what gets me excited and engaged is the older stuff as you say Steam and BR blue!

I think we're desperately crying out for more steam locos and definitely addon packs for routes like SOS and PFR. I also do think the JT route will (Hopefully) be a welcome addition!

Would love to see some Diesel on PFR. I own the route but don’t drive steam, so all my journeys are on scenario planner. Hopefully a diesel DLC will be along soon.

I'm not saying particularly that it'd never happen but just that - wouldn't it be nice if more routes got more attention too, and there's only so many hours in the day.

What shunter(s) would you like to see?

    Matt.

Looking forward to future content, especially in the style of sehs to populate the routes and create a good variety of services and gameplay.
The idea with the dellner adapter was just brilliant, wish we get more of that (scrap movements, tightlock adapters, modified BG coaches for hauling)

Class 57 ROG & 37 with tightlock adapter:

There are a lot of shunters "missing", like the classic Types of the BR Era, but i would also looking forward to a newer like the clayton equipment Class 18 Hybrid (Beacon Rail).

That Beacon Rail loco looks the dogs biscuits! Problem is, it will need a dedicated route to run on.

Classic wise well the 03 is probably the most common type after the 08, mainly on the Eastern Region but also at one time a small fleet in South Wales with reduced height cabs to work the Burry Port and Gwendraeth freight branch.

Too many unresolved bugs on many routes in TSW2. I have dipped in once or twice but I’m rarely out of TSW3 now. I don’t think I’ve driven in the old SEHS since add-ons manager came to TSW3 on PS5. Prior to that I spent equal time in both games, TSW3 for newer routes and all older routes were still played in TSW2, with all the unresolved buffer issues and derailments that I had to put up with. I much prefer TSW3 all round because a lot of the issues I care about are improved with updates even though some things are worse in it.

I completely get you - Mainly it's because my RailDriver functions better in TSW2. I'm just an old guy who likes to pretend I'm driving trains :)

Matt, it seems to have more precision in the throttle notches; though I realize this can be down to calibration - and that takes some practice. Also I get less of the "phantom" activations of wiper / light switches. By far the RailDriver works best on American locos (this is the case in TSW3 as well). But overall, my perception at least is it's more precise in TSW2.

Hi DTG Matt, a minor point, but I would like to see the collectables totals fixed on SEHS which have been broken since TSW3's route extension. It's difficult to know how many there actually are now, for example I currently have 27/25 safety signs. Again not a vitally important simulation issue but if we're going to have these (annoyingly addictive ;)) items they might as well work properly. Perhaps the team could take a look?

I will check with the team but not aware of any changes in that at all! Odd.

    Matt.

If another route extension was to be done to SEHS I would like to see a extension to Charing Cross and maybe opens a opportunity to bring in the SE 707 or bring in other versions of the electrostars but that’s just my ideas if the team decided to do more things for SEHS. I really enjoy the route even more after the 700 was added. But I wouldn’t mind seeing extensions to other routes that deserve attention as well. It’s always nice getting additional content for the current routes we have in game.

Did you find out anything from team on RailDriver in TSW2 vs 3? I've come back to 3 because I miss Cross-city and especially Peak Forest too much!!
