I don’t specifically recall all the things I did to try to clear it, but I did try multiple things and can’t imagine that was not one of them.
I’m just trying to help, so before I get slated for saying this; have you tried pressing the button on GMSR that says “contact the signaller” ? Just wondering, that’s all
Admittedly, that should’ve been the first thing I tried! However, when I did try it, it didn’t work. Thanks!
that’s exactly what it would say irl, which is why it’s simulated, though of course you can’t actually ‘contact’ the ‘signaller’ lol. In reality you’d have to call the signaller and make them aware of the issue you’ve had and they decide on what you do next, as well as logging it for u i believe
The signaller would speak to Network Rail Control, who would then liase with the TOC Control who would then speak with the On Call Driver Manager who then decides whether the driver can continue and if so how far. Then arrange the tea and biscuits…
I've also tried this but couldn't get it to move, loco brakes were released so what am I doing wrong?
Same exact thing happened to me on release day when entering Gillingham too fast on a red. (TPWS Penalty application). I tried the GSM-R, Manually contacting signaler, resetting the Aux, master key, reverser, switching cabs etc. The train eventually will move, but the annoying audio message will continue to play endlessly.
I play on a Series X as well and don't had any stutters yet. What specific location or scenarios you are speaking off ? Without being specific this information is not usefull at all.
it happens across the whole route, like just after leaving Dartford it happens a lot and going round the corner, there’s not really a specific area it’s across the whole route and it’s not just in scenarios, it’s in free roam as well. I play on series x as well.
The setup would need to require to use the rescue pipe of the cl.700. Also the isolating c'cks are not modeled (which is in no way expected). Thats why i wrote ductape solution. When seting up the dellner adaptor with the haul mode, i disconnect the power and shut the unit down. After turning on the batteries back the brakes on the unit relesase. This is enough to clear a mainline, but for sure not making a hauling service.
that’s weird, one issue i think gamewide is if a train with a custom livery approaches, it can make the game lag to like 1fps and coaches of that train can go invisible, very odd
Never had such a thing, That bad, what u descibe. I use custom liveries as well, maybe 5. There is a very short noticable stutter when a train comes from in front but its just a half second burp. Never had any invisible coaches either, weird. TSW is installed on the internal SSD of your Series X I assume? (I think it actually wont let you install TSW3 on external harddrives anyway)
Its coupled, not spawned (just needs a bit of a walkaround) For realism you can put the 700 in the haul mode before coupling up, this prevents the electric head from moving forward (not modeled). Disable the regenerative brakes on the 700 after cutting the line power. Since the Rescue pipe (last photo) isnt in use / modeled, shut the unit down (even no batteries). Now release the loco brakes and just let the direct brakes on. Put back the cl.700 back into battery powered status, which releases the brakes of the unit (do not turn master key on). Now you should be able to move the train to clear a line. Since you can only brake with the loco brakes, only low speeds are recommend. A long distance hauling would require the a connection with the main reservoir hose of the locomotive + the RPIC of the 700. (The gauge of the RPIC pressure is below the drivers desk on the right side, which doesnt seem to be modeled too)
This is strange because I’m having the exact same issue on the Series X, but on the PS5 it’s silky smooth. Why is the optimisation so bad on the Series X? Series X seems to have all the performance issues.
Is the 700 a good train to start using AWS and TPWS ? I have SEHS and BML and I'm a bit afraid to use the safety system.
AWS is actually there to help you out and providing you respond when it alerts you will not hinder your travels. You shouldn't even know TPWS is there as it will only impact you if you are driving wrongly (e.g. approaching a red at 40 or 50mph). So yes I would highly recommend turning the switch on all modern British trains.
ETCS should be a thing for the Class700, since it's one of the best safety Systems and would be a great challenge for players
even then, not every driver is trained to use it so it’s a bit hit and miss in the core atm with what trains are using it and what aren’t
I am also experiencing this on PS5 in both the normal and reduced timetables. AI trains have no exterior lights on (including PIS) whatsoever. I didn’t see any of these issues in the preview stream so what gives? Surely PS5 can’t be the only platform experiencing this issue but I can’t find another post anywhere.
I felt insane when I reported this issue at launch and saw no one else having it, so I’m relieved to see I’m not the only one. Incredibly annoying seeing the AI 700s with zero lights on!
well i do love the 700 its great to see it in game now i do love driving this new unit it now completes the southeastern highspeed route with all trains now on this great route and the 700s 3rd rail sounds are perfect to me i dont have any issues with this train at all apart from the xbox sounds sounding a bit off not has bad as there were in the past
Sigh. Back to the support page to report yet another set of bugs. The sad thing is I’ve noticed all these issues within 1 hour of me purchasing and playing it! How did QA miss this, it’s unbelievable!
I’ve not played lots but I’m getting headlights and pis lit up snd working on ai trains on ps5, so seems very weird. Is it all trains you see?
Yes it’s every AI service I see. Only sometimes when I spawn on foot or select a service from the timetable will the AI trains have their PIS screens lit up but no headlights or taillights. I reported the bug and it’s been logged but I can’t help but get the feeling something’s wrong on my end but I have absolutely no idea what. I guess I’ll try uninstalling and reinstalling. Hopefully it helps. EDIT: Uninstalled and reinstalled both the Class 700/0 and SEHS but the bug persists so I give up. Doesn’t help my theory of this somehow being my fault when this is the *OFFICIAL* thumbnail of the journey mode for the Class 700/0:
Yeah I don’t know the answer but think it’s unlikely anything you’re doing. Only thing I’d if you’ve any custom liveries on this route as think that can sometimes have an impact, otherwise hopefully DTG will advise
Just wondered why this thread is no longer stickied, given the issues raised especially around the sound levels have barely been acknowledged let alone confirmed as being worked on or an ETA for fixes?
Yes rather ironic that an official feedback thread doesn't actually garner a response, then quietly unstickied so it slides down the forum. Still reckon some sort of gag order is in operation pending the big event in the pipeline but the fact is they sold us the 700 which, good overall it may be, still has some significant issues. If it is going to feature prominently on the big summer/TSW4 UK route contribution then it's surely in DTG's interests to confirm they are patching it up ready and those fixes will come over to the SEHS variant.
At this point I'm just going to assume that they're not going to release a patch for the 700/0 until the big new release in September. Perhaps it'll be locked behind a paywall as well. Because it's just funny to be comically evil like that.
You would have thought something like adjusting relative sound levels would be easy, I can accept maybe issues with the PIS going blank after loading a save are more complex (but still no excuse for not spotting or actioning during beta test).
Please can you add the ability for the Panto to be isolated so if it's a 2 unit formation the rear can be disabled from collecting power and applying traction so becomes a dragging unit please. It's a nice feature on Class 323 and would be great if the C700 can do same. Or if the C700 can do it a manual easily located to find out how to do it.
Finally got around to running this train and have to say it was monotonous to say the least. As usual, DTG does a good job of modeling the train and at least it has a full size windshield. Call it a " desiro " if you like, but to me it's just another electrostar, a one- stick automaton and about as challenging to drive as a fairground go-kart. And it's as silent as the grave under power. What's that about? I have top of the line headphones and this was as quiet as any train I've driven. I should have expected this from an emu, but, even so, it was a major disappointment. Maybe part of the problem is the tedious stretch of track you're given to run it on. Couldn't they have given it a chance to run on a high speed route so it could stretch its legs? Oh well, back in the toy box with all the other push and run toy trains.
Yeah, that’s a problem. True, the real 700s are not loud on the inside but certainly not as quiet as TSW would have you believe. BML rears its head…
This was the main problem pointed out to DTG. The sound levels in the cab, even AWS etc are too low compared to the external sounds. If you turn your speakers up such that the interior sound is just about audible, passing trains will burn out the speakers. I mean how hard is it to boost the sound and put out a quick patch? And yes the funereal trundle from Dartford to Rainham calling at every bus stop is about most tedious choice of venue they could have come up with for the train. About its only redeeming feature is the forward view far better than the crapostars, but then on SEHS we have the 395 and 465 which already provide that. I found the sound mod helped a bit with the level and the ghastly looping effect that DTG’s audio te am failed to spot or eliminate, but again we shouldn’t be reliant on the community tidying up the mess behind a commercial product. Just glad mine came in the special bundle offer so only paid the equivalent of around £7. And if this is going to be the main traction on our late summer release (one handle kiddies jump up and-down in excitement), let’s hope they are improving it all round and what we got for SEHS was a public beta test.
Yeah fortunately I’m wise enough to know not to use custom liveries in TSW. PIS issues aside theres just so much wrong with this DLC it’s laughable. Especially since it was so highly anticipated. I wish DTG were more consistent in addressing and fixing bugs especially with popular content like the 700/0
Yes it’s absolutely infuriating how this was overseen. Put the volume up a bit just to hear the faintest traction motor noise and a 465 runs by and now you need a new headset. Not to mention the looping audio… Now admittedly I don’t know much about the trains that run on SEHS (or at least their real life counterparts). But even to me it was so bizarre how slow this „ultra modern“ train feels on this route. Not what I expected at all. Ended up taking it for a run around the training center just to stretch it’s legs. Enough Electrostar slander
