    And give a reason why?

For me: BR 112, laziest train I’ve seen, takes it a minute to do anything.

Want to brake in time for the PZB magnet?

    Nah

Most of the BR Diesel trains, aside from maybe the Class 37. They're all loud, sluggish, with terrible brake systems. Give me Electric or Steam trains any day.

I don’t think there is any train I dislike driving. There are some that are more challenging than others, which for me was the Class 101. But having kept at it I now actually feel like I’ve accomplished something when I do complete a run in it.
Bear in mind, I’m only on uk routes, so can’t judge other trains. :)

The new DB BR 185.5 from DRA onwards. The horrendous buzzing sound drives me up the wall in 10 seconds from starting the service. Haven't touched that loco since the TSW3 release where it was the same for Kassel route.

Talent 2. Something about the braking force at lower speeds that always makes me overshoot a platform or enter it very slowly. Can't quite get the hang of that train.

BR143. Always overspeeds a few km/h when going only slightly downhill.

Take the camera 3 (on keyboard) and place it in front of the train. That's the way I always ride these sheds. At the same time, you will get excellent views of the route itself.

Back to the topic. I don't like any LZB-enabled trains cause they are extremely boring.

Anything with a limited view e.g. Class 385, Electrostars etc. Yuk!

    One handled power/brake.

    So basically, most modern rubbish

Lol they sound amazing, but due to my limited knowledge I have no idea what train you’re describing?
Any chance you could enlighten me, sorry but I’m intrigued now :)

I have a similar problem with the BR 423, even when entering a platform at steady speeds it doesn’t want to stop.

This is a tough one as there a lot I hate but I'm probbaly going with the class 45.

Really boring operations IMO and just not very fun in my opinion.

Thanks, you’ve just jolted my memory. I do have a train I dislike, the 385 is a nightmare to see anything, especially without the HUD on. :(

The Traxx locomotives. I would like them if they were represented as they are in reality. I'd really enjoy driving them. But the 146 and 185 feel so badly represented ingame. So super sterile, stuff is not correctly working (146 AFB always stays 5kmh under what you set it for example) and yeah, the driving just doesnt feel that authentic and lets not talk about the sounds. It just doesn't have a good overall feeling to it.
Oh and lets not start about the 187, which I was super excited about back when it was announced...

Most of the cab cars, but particularly the Dosto 766's which are way too quiet. Boring, boring, did I say boring.

After that any of the EMU's with limited slit views, though offset by those that make a decent traction sound.

Probably the big American Diesel like the AC4400CW. They are slow and super difficult to use in MU. The difficulty to make a MU on Sand Patch Grade is what put me away from American Freight

I could probably stretch it to include the Sprinter classes but they do at least have a bit of character and good old diesel power.

I forgot about those horrible German Dostos.

Honestly I like a lot the 442 for a single reason: It's "AFB" work very well. You are at line speed then you push a button and Tadaa

Emu's, especially those with simple, combined throttle/brake "joysticks " and/or tiny apertures instead of full width windshields. My lawnmower is more of a challenge.

I feel you with Sand Patch but, as a US freight lover first and foremost, I can say like Cajon Pass and Horseshoe Curve have easy MU setup and can manage to keep speed (or close to speed limit weather depending) uphill. So don't count out big US diesels just yet.

My least favorite to drive: The GWG High Speed Train mainly because there is no power difference between throttle 1 and 2. So it's an odd power spike to go from 1 to 3 sometimes.

Use the tempomat button, when travelling press it and it will maintain the current speed.

The 31. I love the class itself, but I simply cannot master the braking distances, either they take too long to apply and I overshoot or they are too keen and I stop well short.

The ES44AC from Horseshoe Curve, one of Skyhook’s creations. The scratchy sound and the completely wrong fairytale dynamic brake physics make driving it a real disappointment. It’s a shame because it could be a great loco to drive, as it looks really good and has one of my all-time favourite liveries.

Joining the general chorus, I know, but - modern EMUs with tiny windscreens and a single PBC (power brake controller). No challenge to them at all, uninteresting sounds, awful view, no character.

Entering the platform at around 70kph with full brakes usually does the trick with the 423. I believe it's the poor visibility that makes it difficult with the Talent, though.

I have never driven anything not British so can only comment on British stock.

It will come as no surprise that I cannot stand driving the electrostars. It not only for the limited view, PBC or sounds (which are all minor factors) but the services they operate. I despise commuter stop, start driving and that is all they do and so when combined with the fact they are common as muck in game and the minor factors they just are not my cup of tea at all.

DoSto cab cars. Already dislike cab cars generally (apart from the Karlsruher Kopf n-Wagen cab car) but the horrendous, inconsistent implementation of them drives me nuts.

Driving the steam locomotives are a real good annoyance as the fireman can’t seem to comprehend the fact that maybe he shouldn’t shovel so much coal when the train isn’t moving/not applying power. Gets real annoying real quick hearing the safeties going off, even after they made them quieter!

422 425 HRR versions because on snowy conditions you will overshoot the stop when using maxbrakes. Back in TSW 2020 Class 101 Daisy due to her brakes being the Vacuum Type which can cause you to stop early on the Huddersfield Line NTP.
DB BR363 due to its unusual brakes

I think if this thread has demonstrated anything it’s…
    1. Cab car driving is generally disliked.
    2. We need a feature like MSTS had where you can remove the cab “mask” in front of/around you for an unhindered view of the route ahead, regardless of traction.

Anything older than privatisation (excluding steam, the tube/ ex tube and the 31s & 37s)

The BR classes aren't interesting at all, they're either just boring, too complicated to get to grips with the brakes, soulless and miserable.
Sorry, but the 'good old days...' aren't.

Not that I'm a fan of the electrostars either.

Just because a few people dislike them doesn't mean they're generally disliked. Not that we have a lot of cabcars in the first place. Personally I quite like driving the Dostos, more so than some of the locos that push these trains.

You can already place the camera in front of your train to get this effect. Plus you could zoom too.

One could abuse the loco brake, as it applies/releases much quicker and can make more subtle braking efforts. Probably not the realistic way, but it works in the game.

DB BR 1442 Talent 2 that came with the Rapid Transit. In TSW2 and TSW3 it doesn't have any running sounds, making it completely silent when coasting at any speed. It's one of the few trains in the game that I could classify as unplayable, which is a real shame since the route got a really good timetable update a few years ago.

ICE; it used to be my favourite train until Kassel came out and figured out how to drive an ICE like "real life" and it has become the most boring experience in TSW for me.

Class 700 by far, incorrect sounds from the outside. A cab with better sound insulation than a high end Lexus that is virtually silent! Go over points at 70mph and it is still silent. Performance is also too sluggish to be realistic
