This could be incorporated into Journey mode or be it’s own standalone mode for routes. This is where, instead of having a list of individual services, you can spawn into the route and complete a set number of services in a single session. When a single service is done, the game will direct you to the next train service to be done, it can also give a chance to move around the route as a passenger if there’s a scheduled service at another station. The mode would have an expected time duration, number of services included and list the starting + end stations. The shift may start/end at the station entrance, other station rooms to indicate a rest area or depots.
In regards to the start and end, this would be better off being at the station entrance, where you start you should end (not required as you could end somewhere else).
May also start/end at depots if you are doing services early/late in the day, also may be applicable if there are ECS during the day.
Just like to bump this as its such a good idea. Perhaps once the save game function is a little more stable it could really fly as an idea?
Yes the problem at the moment, is if you save while working a subsequent service, when the game loads it fails to load back in the objective data and stopping points etc. (And the clock).
I would love a feature like that. I do often like to do another service after a finish one, being able to know what service is next, and where it would start would be very cool!
