One thing i’d love to see in tsw is the option to see a signalling diagram for the game in timetable mode, something of the likes of traksy, so you can identify what trains are ahead/around you through their head codes and info. If you don’t know what traksy or a signalling diagrams is, it’s a diagram with blocks which shows signal aspects and pathing routes for trains so you can track and follow them. Here’s an image of what a traksy diagram looks like in the medway area. I hope something like this is added one day, as for example the current map is kind of hard to identify what’s actually going on in generally all aspects. Like this post to let dtg know you want to see this too if you do!
This is actually a really interesting idea albeit it'd have to be toggelable or have a separate key to change back By the way sorry for the accidently rating notification accidently hit the helpful button while clicking reply my bad.
realistically it could show any size of map, traksy can show hundreds of miles of track in one slide so it is possible and prototypical if you will
So as I am understanding it, this shall be kind of an upgrade to the current map (not a new diagram map like the one you showed), where we have the on-going trains and signals at the route visible but with the new information of A. the headcodes of the trains and B. a highlighting of the paths these trains go. I don't see so much use for this at the actual driving itself, because well we're bound to the signals, but this can be very helpful in free (passenger) mode, if you want to catch a train at a station, but at moment are on foot elsewhere, away of any platform, where you can't just look up at the PIS boards.
