PC [update 13 July] This Time I Am Really Annoyed

To be honest when you apply the stutter fix as seen in the forums here, a cheaper video card can do the job. Won't have absolutely gorgeous details, but it will still be gorgeous.

But I noticed a while back before that that shaders would be created in a folder (guessing now) and then it wouldn't stutter much.

Anyhow since TSW3 came out I am thrilled.

The work DTG does to sort issues and trying to keep everyone happy (impossible ROFL) is amazing and I thank the team at DTG for it.

You probably don't get much appreciation.

But seeing the Dresden Riesa route got the Meissen SPAD issue fixed I have just been discovering the masterpiece that it is.

A mix of S-Bahn, freight and regional passenger. And industrial switching and more.

I noticed GWR is populated with objects and has been renovated since Train Sim World was initially launched in 2018.

It is a real pleasure now to jump in and have a drive. Very enjoyable! Thank you all at DTG!

Just a question of a noob on this matter: Why do Consoles require a certification process but steam doesn't?

 

Will the fix for the Epic Games PC version come at the same time? So far all I see is mention of steam and consoles.

pc includes epic and steam unless something is wrong. Matt said in the previous page that only pc players have the sehs update. Consoles are still waiting. So Epic is implied with pc.

 

If you download malware from Steam that's your fault for not using antivirus software, if you download something that bricks your PlayStation that's on Sony. Although it's more likely any nefarious software would be to enable piracy.

 

Hmm, well I'm on Epic and my SEHS progress is still all on the reduced timetable, the full timetable remains empty progress wise. If I understand correctly the patch should have synced progress on both timetables?

Downloading update 1.49 now. (UK) had to manually check for it.

 

I'll chalk this one up to be careful what you wish for, but having waited for the patch and then purchased the 700 I've now discovered the SouthEastern HighSpeed Journey can no longer be completed.

The Class 66 journey service '6Y08 Tolworth Sidings to Grain Aggregates (Part 1)' spawns you on foot at a random station, the only way to complete the service is to select it from the 'reduced' timetable but of course that doesn't count as a completion in the Journey.

I'm on PlayStation 5 so there shouldn't be an issue with the more populated services.

 

Thanks Matt, I've hit the same problem on the last step of They Think It's All Over, 6Y71 Tonbridge West Yard to Grain Aggregates, which unfortunately means I'm completely locked out of It Is Now as it's a prerequisite.

Also are the Gold medals meant to be achievable because the only one that is is the Class 66 Introduction? For example on 0Z02 Kensington Olympia (Part 3) I kept within the speed limit, arriving within less than half a yard and 20 seconds before due time for what appears to be a perfect score of 1950 only to discover that that perfect score is the exact threshold required for silver, which at least explains how I only scored bronze on some of the other journeys.

 

funny you should say that i am thinking of upgrading I found out the Xbox series S is £250 shouldn't take long to get £250 and it means i can finally move away from gen 8

 

When is the 700 update coming out? We saw it in the ambassador stream with the British Ace so how long left?

I have a series S currently and it runs the game very well for me. A few areas I get a small amount of lag but it is a fantastic console for the price and the game is definitely better on it.

Its just that unfortunately with the lower amount of ram it does struggle when you add a lot of layers. Although I've only ever had it crash on TSW once on SOS ages ago and I play a lot. BML has always been fine for me and SEHS runs fairly well (missing the MML, 700 and the french/german layers).

 

Yeah it is if you watch the ambassador stream with the British Ace and go to where they are driving the 700 the sounds sound much better and there is 700 stop boards.
