Hi guys, not sure what has changed but suddenly i cant run the game in 64 bit.
Ive tried verifying files, ive moved the 32.dll from the 64 install folder but its still not working.
In my dxdiag it says ive got direct x 12 installed , is that correct?
Not sure what else to try, game runs fine in 32 bit so its obviously linked to something 64 bit but im not sure what would have stopped it working all of a sudden.
    Any ideas to try please?

Yeah, me too i'm having the same poblem, only the x32 Bits works but the x64 bits and the DX12 Experimental, doesnt work. The game just Opens and Closes after 2-5 Seconds, Verified The integrity of the files 3-4 times and still nothing.

Yeah its weird , I've decided to do an reinstall anyway and see if that sorts it.
Give me a chance to clean it up a bit anyway.

  7. The only thing I can think of is to reset your settings to default. If you have TS installed in a custom path, I don't think this would effect the 64 bit version from loading. But it's optional if you can't get it to load up after resetting the settings to default..

Give those options a try and see how you go. I'm sure there's someone on the forums that could suggest a better solution than what I can provide.

Do i Delete Cache Or That is Optional?

  11. Just having a guess, I would suggest deleting the cache. As I said before there would be someone else on the forums who knows more than me mate.

Tbh the first thing I'd do is remove the PlayerProfiles.bin from the Railworks contents folder, that will reset all the graphics settings without needing to go in-game and if it's not that then you can just put it back and your settings will be restored.

If it's not that then it may be system or driver related and not the game

Probably that, I'll make a Backup of the System and then Restore it (but keeping Important files). Since i did that and no effect. I'll keep you updated.

Check in steam. Right click on TS> properties>launch options. If you've used the DX12 experimental it deletes the x64 .exe. (don't know why) and just change back to x64 in Launch options and wait for steam to validate. Then go to main folder where .exe launch from an select x64.

I do and have no problems, maybe because of that.

  16. I also stated "I don't think this would effect the 64 bit version from loading.". The way you've quoted me, you're trying to say that I am saying something completely different in the context.

Next time quote the full line "If you have TS installed in a custom path, I don't think this would effect the 64 bit version from loading." ;)

I've copied the updated files from my small (only Academy active) official Steam installation to my main installation (separate appmanifest_24010.acf) on my dedicated RailWorks SSD, no troubles.
