Asian routes or other routes besides UK, Germany and USA would be nice. I honestly don't know anything in particular but would be nice to see.

I agree. Would love to see Asian route with no specific route or country in mind.

Please stop deciding what others can suggest.

Russia, China, Japan, and India would be my choices for Asian route locations.

See this thread. Do some research on an idea you'd like.
How To And How Not To Make A Suggestion. | Dovetail Games Forums

It's not really deciding WHAT he can suggest, it's HOW you suggest it. It's literally said, "I honestly don't know anything in particular", which means he doesn't know or care enough, and expects others to do the research, so why should anyone else care?

Imagine if everyone on the forums just wrote a single one liner saying they want an American route and posting it with zero information. That defeats the purpose of a suggestion thread. How are dtg or other players supposed to know what they want or know something is interesting. They are not mind readers. It is the job of the poster to explain why so other players can show an interest in it. Some of the successful posts that have gained traction and get a lot of conversation going are the ones that are detailed. Of course you might just ignore everything I said, but a suggestion is nothing without substance.

Imagine a different scenario. A forum member writes a one liner saying the game is broken with no other detail. Imagine everyone did that. Then how would the developers know what is broken. Same idea applies here.

Well I guess there is still the possibility of Union Workshop coming through with a Japanese route at some stage but India, China or any other location is probably going to need a reputable local associate to do the leg work and maybe even build it. Then DTG have to be convinced it’s going to make enough money to actually be a part of the TSW paradigm.

There’s probably a very good reason why we haven’t seen routes from these sort of areas, indeed just look at TSC at least so far as official DLC is concerned. With a few exceptions(South Africa, New Zealand, the Turkish route), most content revolves around broadly similar areas to TSW.

No it doesn't. It indicates that people want what they're suggesting. Wether that suggestion is detailled or not.

Other players don't need to know anything. Suggesting things is aimed at DTG or third parties, as those are the ones developing things.

No it's not the job of the poster. The poster has no job.

And what good does that gained traction do? It's not like getting a lot of replies or likes makes a suggestion any more likely to actually happen.

I do not ignore, I just disagree.

Poster is perfectly clear on what he's suggesting. Anything from Asia, without any specific preference. Poster can't get any more clearer than that.

China for high speed, Japan for commuter.

    Plenty to go from there.

I'm sure Russia has very interesting railroads and trains. Shame politics get involved though.

Yes the Baikal Amur Main Line which gives you a choice of a base tunnel through the mountain or an Alpine style twist and turn over (with a third even steeper abandoned grade).

Plus the many narrow gauge lines around the country.

However even without the current political situation, it was unlikely to ever be a realistic contender for a TSW nation.

In other areas of Asia, I always thought the Jingpeng line in China would be fascinating, is it SY class or similar steam locos that used to drag heavy coal trains across the pass. Now diesel operated I believe.

Even before the War I believe the Russians regarded their railways as a military asset. That would probably put the brakes on any planned routes.

I live on the border with Kazakhstan and there may well be a route between Russia and Kazakhstan (in theory, huh - but that will never happened, i believe)

Still waiting for the Shinkansen to make this game a real Train Sim World. Without the Shinkansen it's still Train Sim from some parts of the World

How about Kyoto to Kansai Airport route my aunt uses it. Another one is Toikaido and Sanyo Shinkansen Nagoya to Kobe via Kyoto and Osaka.

I would lean to one of the Mini lines in the Tohoku region - may be slow but probably much more interesting then sitting on the cruise for 30 mins!

However, there are three ready -made routes from Russia for Trin Classic, you can download on a thematic Russian -language form.
