I'm not a fan of US freight routes either but I do remember seeing numerous requests for Cajon Pass in the suggestion forum.

I find Cajon pass fun as example. It's just a different type of train driving.

By the way, there is an ICE connection from Dortmund to Innsbruck via Lindau-Reutin and St. Anton am Arlberg. It is operated with the ICE4

One of my favourite routes in TSC. Although I'd miss the Bludenz-St Anton section the TSC version includes. I'm keeping fingers crossed this rumour/leak is actually true. Sounds too good to be true.

On railway structures you have a point but buildings? Isn't a house the same everywhere in the world according to DTG? Walls, windows and a roof and you have an asset that can be copied all over the world ;)

No it isn't. There's notably more brick houses in UK routes than on German routes.

Although I get the impression that architecture styles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland do share quite some similaraties.

    That's just paint ;)

Maybe because we don't really have a building code in Belgium and everyone can build whatever they want there is no repetitiveness in buildings next to the train tracks. But I did not know that there were so many houses with slant roofs in the world ;)

I just hope that the British route isn't a let down again like last year. I don't really care what the route is but it needs to have some good distance to it and not be another half ars... baked affair with a soggy bottom like SEHS and BKL.

Agreed. Antelope Valley does not seem compelling, and certainly not in the same way that ECML with Flying Scotsman would be. The evidence for Antelope Valley is really quite scant in any case. I'm not saying it's impossible. But even at this point, I will be surprised if that is the answer.

I’m glad you like . Unfortunately for me not my cup of tea. I’m still patiently waiting for NYT which should had been released correctly back in February. Instead, I’m probably going to be forced have to upgrade and get this route that will be shelved to get the updated NYT

I still haven't used NYT since I got it in the humble bundle, been waiting for the timetable update. I've been spending most of my US time on Boston-Providence, Peninuslar Corridor, Harlem Line and some Cajon Pass/Horseshoe Curve.
Is it just dead currently? Is that what the timetable update is meant to fix?

Remember how bakerloo line was before the new timetable was released…… that’s a good comparison to the way NYT release and what we hope to get now with TSW4

That was before my time, I only started Just before the humble bundle in June lol.
Is it like how Sprit of Steam is just empty? Devoid of AI trains even at Liverpool station?

Imagine one of the busiest cities in the world. Now remove almost all the people, cars and trains. The timetable is meant to at least bring the trains back.

Bakerloo Line had WAY less trains than the real-life timetable back at release. There were huge gaps between trains in the central section. There were also zero AI trains on the mainline.

It’s so much better now. Keeping to the timetable actually means something. And you have wait times at some of the bigger stations and can see the other trains go past.

Cygnific gets the credit as he hand mentioned the US and Austrian route back on the first. He didn’t name them but he gave enough hints that Antelope Valley line was mentioned but dismissed . Didn’t take him seriously on the US route because I didn’t want that to be the route and blew if of as most did. I linked the thread below

Team up against Antelope Valley. Cajon was really mediocre with lack of deatils, visual bugs and not impressing visual at all. Add dead LA without any Amtrak trains. Add bugy flying road traffic(there is a higfhway near tracks). Add very conditional display of buildings of very low quality(like Peninsula). And you've get potentionally worst core route.

That doesn't enforce the idea that a DRA Revamp may happen though. It just leaves the gate open for literally any German route.

It's probably easier to sell to the European market tbh. "Sunny California", "LA", etc. It's the locals who will be most critical.

Conversely, I'm more easily sold on European content that i have no IRL experience with- Austria? Switzerland? You could tell me anywhere with some mountains is the Alps and i probably won't think twice about it.

To be fair it's a delicate balancing act and i don't envy DTG .

My biggest disappointment isn't the setting, but rather the empty timetable- to me it's a passenger equivalent of Cane Creek- not bad per se, but more suited as a 3rd-party niche than a TSW4 headliner.

I’m a bit late to the party here but Antelope Valley is very disappointing.
Such little service, such boring scenery and by the looks not even much freight.
Vorarlberg looks much better, that will be one to watch closely!
ECML- well we will see where that goes too.

Hence why I said a german route in general isn’t ruled out. The DRA extension is a personal theory I have.

I'm pretty hyped, 3 routes for the price of slightly more than 1 is decent value. But yeah the bugs/fixes is just business as usual at this point sadly.

Another thing what I find strange is that we have had no in-game updates.
