    Even in looks they were almost identical. The differences are ones only serious train geeks can spot.

    IIRC, a lot of UP's SD90MACs got sold to NS and CP, and by them refurbished as SD70ACUs (which are themselves identical to ACe's except for the Phase II cabs).

    Yes, UP sold alot of their mothballed SD9043MACs for the SD70ACU rebuild program, though UP was still regularly using the SD9043MACs till around 2015.

    A reminder that the SD90MAC-H and the SD9043MAC are different locos. And the MAC-Hs do not exist anymore.
