I would hope for a network with a line to buchs. Very interesting station + yard. Austrian, swiss and german traction.

Along the railway on the swiss side to romanshorn / kreuzlingen there is the entire zebra substitution because stadlers new trains get stored on many tracks / sidings.

It could be anything other than lighting and weather. Reason being that they can't market new lighting & eye adaption and dynamic weather again since it's been done for tsw3 already so would be pointless.

Oh yes they can! It's a marketing trick that has a proven track record "improved", "even more realistic" "crafted like Mother Nature would" and everyone takes out their wallet :D

    Sounds interesting.

It depends which section of the ECML it is. North of Newcastle would be best, anything else is rather flat and straight.

That part of Austria would be spectacular, if they get it right.

Antelope would be fine, if it's well-populated with UP and BNSF freight along with Metrolink. At least it's not the East Coast for a change.

Will we see some actual antelope? They're there again!

BNSF don't run on that line sadly, and only a miniscule amount of UP for local goods drop off.

Curated or artisan crafted.....those of us deprived of loud diesels would just like something that resembles a railway version of monsters of rock. Not a turned down silent disco on a dull April morning....

More like soothing piano music, compared to the loud screech of an untuned bass guitar that a lot of the old diesels sound like.

Not equipped for Germany and Austria because you need a 1.95m Metalized Carbon strip for the 15kv 16.7hz wires there. Switzerland is 15kv 16.7hz 1.45m Copper/Carbon Strip. Try running it under German and Austrian wires you will lose power because of the pantograph strip being shorter

Not really, not "extensions" in the sense we have been discussing/requesting them: like in TSC, where extensions are extra partial routes one can add onto an existing route.

No SBB trains cross the border Buchs-Feldkirch (for reasons stated); they reverse at Buchs and head back into Switzerland. The cross-border traffic is OBB Railjets with multivolt Tauruses.

i have already discussed on this above so I won’t repeat but to sum up, what we players get is SEHS extended it doesn’t matter how DTG done it.

Yes, it totally matters. It's the difference between ordering a salad on the side, and having to buy a whole dinner just to get the salad.

not really, as a player you don’t care, all you care about is the extension. Anyone who owned the TSW2 version got it for free so they’re was no issue with pricing on this.

If DTG had to do the route from scratch that was the method they chose, as a player i see the extension as I’ve already seen the route previously. Many methods possible, same main outcome.

edit: If DTG had to do incantations or factory reset the old version to bring in the extension, It don’t matter to me as long as it’s extended and playable.

Agree entirely. Not our fault if the tech means the terrain and track has to be entirely rebuilt, DTG chose the game engine and along with it the tool limitations. For the end user the result is still the same, a “new” route which in fact is still 70% of one we already owned along with a train (465) which most of us already bought as DLC.

None of those routes really grab me, not exciting but ok. I really hope TSW4 bring aboard other features, like sitting on station benches, going into station rooms and some signal boxes.

DTG will announce new trains for the three main countries that TSW covers…

UK - Thomas the Tank Engine
US - Hank the Yank Engine
DE - Hans the Economically Viable Reliable Efficient On-time Engine

They will also announce the first Japanese DLC…

JP - Daisuke the You Think Hans is Efficient Then Take a Look at Me Engine

Why would you add dynamic weather to scenarios? It's a scenario so there shouldn't be dynamic weather is my guess. If the scenario is about snowy weather the weather should be snowy like the scenario says so

If you want to set it as a snowy scenario, then that's fine, simply turn dynamic weather off and keep it snowy but I, and I'm sure others, do like to see changes in weather if the scenario does not rely on the weather being a certain setting like snow. Also, isn't there a problem with season's not changing in scenario's, I'm sure there's something. And as posted above, you can't even currently select the weather in scenario's! Hence my point before!

Because the weather is set for you as it is a scenario. They want you to see the scenario as it was envisioned by the director? It was the best lightning and weather condition for that scenario? It's like asking the Game of Thrones director to do every shot in daylight because you don't like the dark scenes ;)

Scenario Planner scenarios don’t have any weather choices or time of year choices, or dynamic weather. Dynamic weather came to scripted scenarios before it came to timetable services but it isn’t randomised just scripted if it is included. Journey mode doesn’t have dynamic weather in the services.

Maybe this time they will fix this issue. It’s by no means the only improvement needed for Scenario Planner but it is important.

you cant select weather for the scenario you are creating, thats what i meant, there is no choice for it on scenario planner. its like if the game of thrones director had no control over how he wants the scenes to look
i wasn't talking about scenarios that come with the routes

Maybe a total overhaul. I know looking at it once and thinking it's amazing you can make scenarios. Until I tried making one. Never touched the feature again. Not very controller friendly
