Honestly, I hope this is all speculation and it doesn’t mean a thing. But if that’s true why is this thread still unlocked?
Because they are going to announce TSW4 tomorrow more than likely. As long as people aren't braking the rules, they are pretty hands of moderating on here. It's really nice to see.
okay folks its been great the day has come its tuesday 22nd august 2023 its time to unleash 11pm est australia start time on you tube can not wait all the talk has been fun lets see what the 2023 core update brings even if its a new era of TSW its still the same old story
Let's see if a Sydney trains route like to Parramatta and Leppington Branch or Richmond is in it! A Tokyo commuter route. WCML over Shap. Another London subway like District line.
Leaving aside my preference for the black hole in AC Network South East land/East Anglia, I feel it really is time for a substantial, lengthy electric UK main line route. Kings Cross to York/ Preston to Glasgow/York to Edinburgh/Paddington to Cardiff/Waterloo to Portsmouth or Southampton/Liverpool Street to Norwich. I'd even take a through Thameslink route at this stage, hopefully it won't be the most obvious of DTG choices, more DLC for Southern with those characterless DC-only 377s running the show. Something that shows us what TSW is capable of and starts to make up for the paucity of routes in which to thrash some AC traction at high speeds, with different traction options and provide some scenic eye candy along the way.
My buddy who works at DTG has not been on Skype today so I am assuming that all of the staff have been fired and that this afternoons announcement will be that TSC/TSW will be immediately removed from all platforms
Maybe DTG Direct is a new live webcam of the office so we can watch them create masterpieces in real time.
If it's 90's ECMLs it would have to include the Class 91 or "Intercity 225" as us old railway people call it.
A steam/diesel transition ECML with a Deltic and Flying Scotsman would be... well let's just say it's going to be a long month's wait.
Rusty rails - Chornobyl Railroad(Chernihiv - Slavutych - Pripyat - Ovruch) confirmed. Before the war this railway was worked.
Yeah, but I mean if you want to see some apocalyptic railway - most of the time you will imagine Chornobyl.
I saw a YouTube video on Berlin to Leipzig. A 190km route. Would be nice but I doubt DTG would implement it
No idea, but I'm always a big fan of consistency, and it was fun having him in the first few trailers.
On the topic of rusty railways. Actually, rails rust up very fast -- few days of track not being used is enough for rust to start appearing. So it really doesn't mean much. Railway doesn't have to be abandoned to be rusty.
It's very clear what this is. It's a modern day route set into the future. Expect flying cars and passengers wearing AR glasses as scenery
That's great and as we know DTG has already mastered the implementation of flying cars. Perhaps they are simply playing to their strengths?
First of all, I thought everyone saying TSW4 is coming has no clue as there is no official info. But if this picture above is real.. I really don´t know what to say. Also the predicted routes.. Where everyone did get the infos? And why did I buy TSW3 about 3 months ago ? lol
.....but in the official announcment - PC EDITOR (Beta) PC Players will soon be able to utilise the Unreal Engine 4 toolset to create anything they like: Gameplay, trains and even routes! This detailed tool is the same as that which our developers use to bring Train Sim World 4 to life. Andy
Regarding the Announcement of TSW4, I have to admit defeat. But although this leak was in fact true, I still don't trust leaks and leakers in general.
The speculation above about a futuristic route is also true as the US route includes a railway station set in the future (when it is actually built and open )
