Wait, does that 6-12 month thing for TSW4 mean that they will be going the fifa route? New game for £60 every year

 

I'm hoping they meant 6-12 months "overview" roadmap for TSW4.

I will be very disappointed if TSW is indeed now a yearly re-purchase game.

 

Seemingly only one train with Vorarlberg. Gah.

 

I mean, you don't have to buy it, you could just carry on playing what you already have of course.

yeah, and I don't quite like these modern plastic trains. Route is interesting enough, but not hyped about the train.

This is so poor. There's so much potential for this route, but it's wasted. There'll presumably (well, hopefully) be the odd DB layer, but already... ugh. They know that one-train routes are bad, everyone knows this.

 

More empty termini stations to enjoy!

 

You already have the Taurus as well! If creating some OEBB Eurofirma coaches is too expensive then maybe try and save money on Orchestras. Just a tip!

This reveal tells me that it's clear it is costing Dovetail a lot more money than they anticipated transitioning their content to Unreal Engine 5.

 

The OBB route looks OK, LNER with 800 about to be announced is nice. JT route from Ormskirk is later in the video so also looking forward to that, as well as the wider roadmap. However, that's still an hour away in this video!

 

I would have expected much more rolling stock from a new release.

 

Well LNER is a big dud. 5 stations because it's only Peterborough to Doncaster.

Standard work in progress disclaimer, launch on the 26th Sept. Draw your own conclusions but the world looks pretty dreadful. Other impressions-
Stutters are very noticeable, washed out graphics, popping scenery. Will update further but so far its TSW 3.1 from what Im seeing.

I am dissappointed from low number of new rolling stock, but Antelope Valley looks good to me. I will buy edition just with it. Voralberg and ECML are not interesting for me.

Not sure anyone expected that part of the ECML. A bit of layering potential at least

Not at all. I like it. Im just providing my impressions. The graphics are not washed out to you? No stutters visible to you?

 

Not a fan of the ECML route. 5 Stations over 80 miles with not much variety it seems. I personally would have prefered Kings Cross - Peterborough for that reason alone, but ill take ECML and a IET, as the Azuma will be good fun for GWE at least.

 

That is disappointing, surely York would have been a more logical end point or Leeds?

 

Disappointed about the offerings so far especially the East Coast Main line.
However the New in Game Editor is still to come.

This is a valid point. Doncaster to York is only around 20 minutes and mostly open countryside too. No other stations to model either, aside from York.

 

The Vectron is a great loco but the jobs it does are well fulfilled in TSW already. Looking forward to it but it wouldn't be my choice.

 

Damnit! I was thinking I could skip the deluxe version but the Vectron is part of it.

 

What route is Flying Scotsman for?

Also have we seen any new features yet? What makes it TSW4?

 

I'm a little concerned by the way they're throwing "Deluxe edition" in front of the Vectron and Flying Scotsman.

 

Vectron to Dresen-Riesa is nice, as well as Vorarlberg.
