Will the PS5-Addons-manager be part of TSW4 from the start?

 

Will the new TSW4 content layer onto existing TSW routes as AI? For example: Metrolink onto Cajon Pass at San Bernardino, LNER Azuma at Edinburgh-Waverley etc.?

 

It was mentioned on the stream that our TSW 3 DLC owned content will automatically be carried over and downloaded to TSW 4.
1) Does the content have to be re-downloaded, or can we 'move' our TSW 3 content?
2) Going from TSW 2 to TSW 3, we had the option to transfer our game profile and stats (progress). Can we do the same with TSW 3 to TSW 4? - Answered in the FAQs

 

Will it be possible to turn off scoring like you can in TSC?

Will the Rapid Transit Dosto finally be fixed in TSW4?

 

Where is NYT update ad timetable?

 

Just wondering if there'll be any update regarding the TSW2 patches which have been sidelined for a while now? Will content like MML and PFR get additional content like gameplay packs or patches in TSW4? As the Wording on legacy content seems a little confusing and makes it seem like thats it for everything pre tsw4 which would be very disappointing?

Also wondering why you've taken the decison to delay the Flying Scotsman pack and the Vectron by a month? As I'd happily pay a little extra for the flying scotsman pack with the ECML.

 

Concerning the improvements for the SD70 add-on for CJP, what will they be and when will they be released? Will it be for TSW4 only?

Concerning the issues that are known with SFJ, when will these fixes be released? Will they be for TSW4 only?

Any update on rush hour passengers for LBN? If they are ever introduced, will they be for TSW4 only?

There are known issues with the safety systems for the Acela in BPE that were caused by the US signal patch that was primarily for NYT. Will these issues be fixed and if so will they be for TSW4 only?

 

Is Train Sim World now going to become a yearly release, similar to Fifa and COD? Should we be preparing for Train Sim World 5 next summer? If a yearly release schedule is in the works, how can we be confident there will be any major differences or it will be a stable, bug free experience, when nearly every route that launches has a relatively buggy, mixed reception launch. Wouldn't moving to a yearly development time make issues worse, as there'd be less time to fix things pre launch.

Does it not feel a little bit, I don't know, dodgy, that you release the next game a year after the previous one, with quite a lot of issues that need addressing, just to say that if you want a more stable experience, you have to pay to migrate to the next title? In future should we hold out for any bug fixes that you promise are being worked on, or should we just wait for the next game?
When I paid £40 to move over from TSW2 to TSW3, a lot of bugs and issues carried over, because they were promised to be fixed in TSW3. Now we're having to move over to TSW4 to carry on getting the fixes, so I expect any issues in TSW4 we will have to then pay for TSW5 to get those fixed?

 

I think if you buy the bundle it's available at launch but if you want to buy them individually you have to wait a month. Then again I could be wrong. (getting flashbacks of botched rush hour "summer" launch).

 

Ride 5 is the same bull$$&$, everything is going shallow and dumb.

That’s correct - I can’t find the post but one of the DTG confirmed that earlier in the forum somewhere.

 

Why did you decide to not release a free core update for existing players and just simply charge for the new dlc's or even bundle them when TSC has free core updates and charges for the dlc's? It works well for tsc so why not tsw? You would've still made money by doing that. This is the 3rd time that this has happened and it's rightfully ticked off many players especially when some of these updates were promised a long time ago like scenario planner 2.0 and the livery designer 2.0 only to be put behind a paywall

 

You will need to re-download, as the package is different.

 

When will TSW2 updates that wait for a time slot since last year be released?

 

- Will you fix stupid passengers ?
- What about add-on manager for Xbox?
- What about Oakville subdivision passenger trains? Are they still a thing?

 

Will photo mode be available on all routes or tsw4 routes?

Are the Steam and Epic Store TSW 4 versions of the game gonna have the PS add-on manager changes applied to them at release or are they coming later?

 

Thats sort of what I mean. Are DTG doing it like that to push people into buying the deluxe edition (which seems a little shady)? I know its a good deal but if like me you only player English content its a little frustrating to have to wait a month

 

How are you handling trophies, will we still be stuck with legacy trophies for old content which resulted in new loco dlc not even getting trophies in TSW3, or will you finally leave the past in the past and just give us trophies for new content, including locos?

 

Is the audio issue in TSW3 for Xbox fixed in TSW4

 

When will we hear more about the formation designer that was seen on the stream but not mentioned?

 

What improvements will be coming to Dresden - Riesa route? Would love to the Talent 2 EMU updated and the Dostos. They cabs could do with new textures etc.

 

Will TSW4 have a detailed, train by train, stat sheet available in game? Information such as engine and motor specs, max power, top speed, weight and so on.
In Train Sim World 3, you either have to load a game with the given train to find out, or in some cases, the information isn't available anywhere and you have to look it up on Wikipedia for example. I would like to have more of this information together, easily available and accessible in game.

 

Will there be another staggered release for existing DLC on PlayStation where it takes a few weeks before I can use all our old DLC in the new game?

 

Can I finally sit on the seats on the platforms. The ones on the new Austrian route look pretty inviting!

 

I think it's more the individual games are legacy content and will not be update not the DLC. Skyhook has a patch in development for Midland Mainline, rivet (though small) updated West Cornwall during TSW 3.

My question is will the DLC be released in a staggered format for PS5 and is the content manager starting from release of TSW 4

 

If legacy content won’t be updated anymore am I right in assuming you’re not gonna do anything with the feedback we gave for the Glossop line & 700? Even though they released very recently!?

 

Why a new game?
Why not something like a core update?
Why not something like rush hour?
Is there going to be a new game every year (yes or no)?

 

The FAQ says you need both TSW3 and TSW4 installed to transfer your progress between games. With TSW3 leaving Game Pass a few weeks before the launch of TSW4 does this mean Game Pass players who want to buy TSW4 will lose all their progress unless they also buy the obsolete TSW3?

 

I wish DLC is for train sim world are not too expensive like $39.99-59.99 isn't ideal for DLC I think a good price point is $14.99-23.99 is just enough to make Dovetail Games and money and is affordable for people that purchase DLC I seen that with most games example: Planet zoo, City Skylines, Parkitect and Planet Coaster. Too much money can lead to being greedy we need to remember that money can't buy us happiness It's still important to make a living and paying off bills. That's why less is more and more is less so if more people buy DLCs that means more money for the developer. If we choose kindness, we can hope for a better future!!!

 

Will Scenarios and Collectibles be transferred over from TSW3 dlcs? For some routes I have to do these 3 times over.

Could the soundtrack of train sim world 4 release on Spotify and Amazon music?.

 

1) Rivet's on the roadmap, but no mention of Skyhook or TSG. Have they dropped out, or were they just not ready to make roadmap-worthy commitments?

2) I can understand no new fixes for old games, but can we still count on fixes that have been stated as completed and ready for release being released?

3) Regarding the route editor:

3a) Will we also have access to at least basic, generic railroad assets DTG uses rather than having to create rails, ties, wires, etc. from scratch?

3b) So we've now built a loco. Will we also get access to Simugraph to implement the physics of movement, or how will we actually get the thing moving and driveable?

3c) What documentation will be available? Will we have any access to things like rolling stock specs? Also, can we get tutorials from DTG such as Creating Timely Timetables from Joe, Creating Loco Locos from Maik, etc.?

 

I know this has been asked already, but it bears repeating: what is the status with the NYT update. Surely this promise will be honored.

My question is that will the azuma layer on to Edinburgh to Glasgow seeing as in IRL they are seen at Edinburgh Waverley.

Regarding to german loco inmersion is there any plan to implement the ebula system, if I’m not wrong, Matt commented a while ago (maybe 2-3 years ago) about this.

Ok, I re-read the FAQ's and NYT timetable update was specifically mentioned as coming in October. So my question is answered and moot. Thanks.

 

This is a very good question, although it is not relevent to me personally. Updates to TSW2 owners that have been waiting for a suitable slot have been mentioned in roadmaps for months and I believe have been promised.

 

1) I know this might be to early on to ask this question but for the LNER 801 how services are there for 5, 9 and 10 car train?

2) Will liveries still show on random cars even if we have the toggle on?

3) Will current Created Scenarios In TSW 3 be transferred or be downloadable on TSW 4?

4) Are we able to finally upload updated liveries on Creators Club?

5) Will the 801 be layered onto Edinburgh- Glasgow ,Cathcart Circle or SEHS near St Pancras? Edinburgh-Glasgow could really use a boost in AI Traffic

 

Will you fix the shadows on the tracks on console or is it still only showing up 3 feets in front if the train?

If it's not fixed, will there be an option to disable shadows on tracks as it's so distracting?

Or at least don't make it so hard a shadow. When it's cloudy the shadow is blurred, which is more acceptable, so if you can't fix the 3 feet drawing distance or give us the option to disable it, can you at least make it blured as in cloudy when it's sunny on consoles?

Also is the pop in fixed on consoles?

 

Multiplayer when?

Also why a new $45+ game every year? Why not just keep supporting TSW3 with new paid DLC and add the 2 new features of TSW4 to it? Will TSW5 come out this time next year for $60?

 

Will the suspension improvements, free roam and controller haptic feedback also come to TSW compatible routes, or just TSW4 routes?

 

Matt said that the suspension improvements will only come to the 323 at launch because it needs to be added to each loco.
You will need to wait for the Q&A for the other answers because I have no clue.

 

Why Did you choose to only bring 1 new train per route. For example why is there no ÖBB Taurus.
