But that would also apply to the, currently in development, route by Just Trains (and others partners). That was also announced on a TSW3 roadmap.

Now I’m thinking of it, they probably left it out because they couldn’t place it in any of the timeframe sections.

Help me clarify something: is Scenario Planner 2.0 for all routes, or just v4 routes?

You mean trains/locos layering between routes?

DTG current approach is actually against creating a great collection of DLCs in my opinion. I think so, because issues identified for EMU/DMU/Locos are not being fixed, but abandoned. That is, if you want to drive that additional units by yourself, not being layered as AI only. If you consider it as additional AI traffic then all the issues related with that DLC is not relevant: will not drive it on a home route, you'll not drive it on other routes - why you should care what bugs are affecting it.

On example of Dispolok 182, released in October'23 for SKW.
It's a freight loco and on SKW freight trains are driving only by night. Issues? Over-bright MFD buttons and gauges dimmer. Haven't been fixed and will not be most likely. And this is for a loco dedicated to night drives on home route :|
I haven't bought it and I do not plan to because of this issues and the fact I would like to drive it myself. But if I would just want it to be additional AI layer, then I would bought it.

Just for TSW4 routes, and this also shows DTG approach to previous content - not compatible with latest features, so take it as it is, buy it for layers or forget about it.

interesting that there’s nothing about ATS’s project on the roadmap?

Thanks for the info. By the way, you make really good mods on TSC. I really appreciate it too.

Based of the stream two improvements come to my mind.

OHLE Wire Shader: The antialiasing effects on the overhead wires remain subpar. Notably, some games like World of Warships utilize a rope shader that ensures the ship rigging appears consistently smooth, regardless of display resolution or viewing distance. This is likely achieved by scaling up the wires at greater distances, ensuring they always remain approximately one pixel in width.

Scoring Potential: There's significant room for enhancement in this area. For instance, incorporating factors like the overheating of traction motors into the scoring system would keep drivers vigilant. Additionally, I suggest an combined acceleration/speed indicator in the HUD that pinpoints the optimal zone between the timetable, train energy consumption, comfort and performance. Maintaining the train within this optimal zone would require sustained focus from the driver, introducing an "minigame" within the game. Incorporating this with dynamic track and wind conditions would reduce potential boredom of more action oriented players.

(Edit: In addition I think traction motor temperature should always be visible in HUD with electric and diesel electric locomotives. )

Well, then you misunderstand. Legacy routes will see fixes in their TSW4 versions. It is those users who stick with TSW3 who will never see them (other than the NYT schedule upgrade). No different from the TSW2 to 3 transition last year- except that this time DTG aren't lying about abandoning the old version.

I think showing the optimal speed would make it too easy.

Yes, this is a key point I think. Hopefully they can talk about it on the stream

The graphic on the stream only said that chaining paths is TSW4 route exclusive. So AI portals etc. will hopefully work on older routes. F8BF2AEB-097F-4837-A03A-6A96A2556C3D.jpeg

I agree it's better they're not lying this time, but doesn't change the fact that if i want bugfixes for Class 700 or PFR or MML (the most recent releases) i have to buy an entirely new product i might not want, and with an annual paid release and DTG's slow approach to bugfixing, this will just be compounded every year. I feel like i only ever get 85% of what i paid for and have to keep chasing the newest version in perpetuity.

I mean it is what it is, but can't be surprising that people are upset about it.

    I'm just curious.

Since TSW2020 - of all that have been adamant they were going to trading standards or taking legal action how did you get on?

Just let it release and make your mind up then.

DTG Matt could you arrange for the opening stream music to be put on YouTube music &/or Spotify? Or just have a separate vid in YouTube with just the music clip? Much appreciated! :)

Same thing as the ATS and Union Workshop content - no release window pencilled in yet, so don't want to set unrealistic expectations.

Maik helps us a lot with German content as well, so we're partially to blame as well, taking him away from working on it - but I hope you can forgive us!

We will do at some point, it's too good not to! It might not be until closer to release though. Needs a little editing. The full soundtrack is a Deluxe and Special Edition benefit too for Steam players upon release.

It is of course still available to watch on the DTG Direct stream VOD though in the meantime.

AI Portals wont work on older routes because those routes dont have any paths going into and out of portals unfortunately.

    Matt.

Thanks, JD! Was just a bit surprised when these didn't show up on the roadmap, is all.

No worries, it'll arrive when it will arrive. :)

Ha "incapable person", i only can say if i drive Trains made by TSG, its like you forget that you sit on a pc, they give the impression of actual driving them right now. Not that DTG make bad content, but your dlc ill buy without even looking at the ratings. Knowing the passion go into your work makes me willing also pay a higher price.

Looking forward to the 420 and what might come in the future. keep up the good work.
