Does DTG even know what a usefull demo is.Now there are games that do time limited demo's true but with a game like TSW3 can you really gleam enough insight into it in just 2 hours.Unless DTG just trying to hope in that time you don't encounter to many of the game current or unresolved issues. If they want a proper demo offer the training area with a few sample engines and wagons to play with and offer at least a 12 hour trial.
I cannot fathom the....the self richeousness of this?! A demo is that, literally to demonstrate the game, usually 30 - 60 minutes worth of playtime, if that. Also, this quote is just stupid.
This isn't stupid at all.The game does have issues that still or offen need to be fixed. Those of us who play or still play have known this for years. If you want to bring in new players they should know what the positive and negative sides of the product are before buying.
it really is, suggesting a demo is "too short because you won't find any bugs" is quite literally just trying to defame a product for the sake of defaming. Back to the original topic, 2 hours for a demo is incredibly generous, given most games (other than those that do free weekends) are literally part of a level or timed demo totalling approx 30 minutes. The only one I have ever found, that had more than 2 hours was the OG spintires tech demo, that was, besides a tech demo, unlimited playtime to showcase the terrain deformation physics.
Something i just remembered there have been 1000's of game demos that offen state that the games unfinished and that one may encounter some issues within the demo being tried but one would hope a game that's been out for years would be in a better state.
*Quite literally coughs in any AAA game at present* On a serious note, demo's are just that, an attempt to bite and bring someone into the fandom.
