PC Editor And 3d Models?

Discussion in 'TSW General Discussion' started by SD40Australia, Aug 24, 2023.

  1. What version of the editor are we getting?

Are we able to import 3d models on Day 1, Sep 21 or 26th?

Are 3d models in any state good to import or do we need to satisfy certain conditions? That is is the model needing to be 'conditioned'? Experts will know what I am saying.

Is it easy to create your own rails? I guess the rails are already there. But what if you want to make an Australian or Japanese 1067mm narrow gauge?

Ideally what we need is a repository like the Trainz Download Station or… wait for it, a well known Trainsim hosting site like UKTS sadly closing its doors at the end of this month. Just when it would have come in handy. Hopefully as Matt has been discussing in the main editor thread, there will be some means of getting a cross section of essential resources - station components, structures, residential/commercial/industrial buildings ready to use. I can generally knock a route together but dumb as it comes as regards 3D modelling. Just about coped in the old Abacus Train Sim Modeller, 3D Canvas is more challenging and I can’t even begin to comprehend Blender.

No. I had just copied the link straight from the page while I was reading and I wasn't even paying attention to where I had stopped at.

    I doubt that.
