Want to talk about LIRR bugs? Crossing gate audio gone since TSW2 LIRR M3 headlights not working prototypically Platform stop markers at incorrect position on many places Station light effects totally messed up since TSW2 Road traffic keeps glitching through terrain, scenery and floating in air since TSW3 Passengers walking onto the tracks in masses since TSW3 AI services can get stuck in busy custom scenarios ATC is a buggy mess, not working prototypically (many issues at once) These are all thatI could gather from memory in 5 minutes even though I not played that route for like a year now... How many could I list if I fired up the route again?
Fair point, treat it as 3 routes for the purchase price I guess. Bit unnecessary though forcing players to buy all 3 routes when they might only want 1. Personally I like the US route because of the length and the variety of desert scenery combined with built up LA, even though many are slating it. The Austrian route seems to be being sold solely because of some snowy mountains in the background? Hope they are better than the worse than TSC Arosa line ones. Whilst I love the LNER Azuma, the ECML is a massive blooper imo. I mean who the hell wants that line without Kings X, York or Edinburgh? I fully believe this is lazy development by DTG who have a track record of producing/backing routes that have the least possible amount of work. Think about how much more work producing Kings X and the London scenery for the first part of the journey would be, and I think you have the answer. Also the lack of integrating the 700 into it. I bet they won't add obvious trains like Grand Central rolling stock to it in the future either.
Maybe they will at some point, but certainly not at launch. You have way more faith in DTG than I do.
You're trying to nitpick. Still doesn't invalidate my claim. As other users have pointed out, there are many more bugs. Your reading comprehension is off. The issue is that it accelerates like one, not that it doesn't.
Are you sure about this? I think Matt was saying that content created in PC Editor can be share only with other PC players, but not with console players. It's here on 3:25, video for 'What is the Advanced PC Editor?': https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...m-world-4-faq#What-is-the-Advanced-PC-Editor?
I only came to TSW with TSW3, I would hardly say in the last year its been garbage content, some of it is better than others admittedly but BCC the Glossop route and MML certainly aren't garbage.
So why do we need an update/new game so soon after TSW3 then? I do agree that it's largely not broken though. I'll give you a bug that annoys me. The collectibles on BCC STILL don't work properly months after release. Can't think of many bugs though admittedly.
There are a list of fixes on the roadmap where scenarios are not completable. There are still bugs with red lights erroneously ending runs or people just getting derailed or snagged randomly.
When i came to TSW2 i bought Cathcart Circle line. I started journey mode and was stuck on one of the scenarios just at the end, by a red light (after 1hour of gameplay) . I rised the ticket, other customers also issued tickets both before and after me. This bug get finally corrected...after 10 months. And i dont know how long was this bug present. And it was a game breaking bug ( the one that DTG gives priority).. And its only one bug. There is so much more that are still there. Things seems not to move in bug correcting (a contrario of releasing new game versions) So no people dont have 5 days or even 3 months bug correction expectations, but after YEARS it may become a litlle urgent.
I begin suspecting that we are force to buy the same product (same core game with slight additions) at least 2nd time... Is this even legal?
OP, I am seriously angry with DTG's treatment of the customers, I WILL NOT be buying this "game". Happy? Can I keep on criticizing this treatment now?
After sleeping on it. I don't feel TSW4 should be releasing this year. The core improvements announced could have been implemented in TSW3 such as Scenario planner 2.0, volumetric fog HD rain & the Accessibility option's. And an extensive range of patches could of also been released along with the three new routes It's not like there's a major engine upgrade involved which would justify the work that could also improve the lighting and Audio. Lod does not seem to have improved either.
I complain about some bugs but I'll buy, over 95% of the game seems to work fine for me. I still have just as much as I did when I dicovered TSW 2020. Probably even more nowadays with so much choice. I see why people are angry and it's not wrong to be. Any feeling anyone has is valid so who am I to say your wrong for being mad or happy. To me its just a video game and not worth a fuss in my life. I have more important things to worry about than a game.
YES and you could work for free too. Simple isn't it? Just tell your boss you are going to work for free so he can lower the prices on his products.
Ok give me one location to see one of these bugs? So they are nowhere near 'gamebreaking' bugs right??? I can complete services. I haven't seen passengers walk on tracks in LIRR. I'll even go for a drive right now and see for myself.
I doubt 'they knew' and the bugs are insignificant or small they are not picked up on. Do you know how much scenery is on a route? https://www.toyota.com.au/news/toyota-australia-recalls-vehicles-due-to-millimetre-wave-sensor I bet car makers aren't aware of many issues until customers pick them up. Just allow a bit of grace. With technology today it is very complex and things usually get missed. Will you agree with me there or are you perfect?
And it happens to MAJOR huge companies with mega billion dollar budgets. Technology is complex. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...e-737-max-jets-over-possible-electrical-issue
People coming on to the forum complaining. It’s going to achieve nothing. TSW4 is happening, deal with it. The devs don’t like whinging.
I don't think I'm getting the vibe that people are trying to convince DTG to abandon TSW4. Clearly that will not happen. My understanding is that people have valid concerns / gripes about their existing content updates being put behind a paywall which isn't generally common practice in the gaming industry. And the second issue is what is to be expected going forward? Will customers be required to pay an annual upkeep fee to continue receiving game updates? I believe with a niche hobby with very little competition where many have invested a lot of time and money that seeing their faith in the developer broken causes justifiable negative sentiment. People are simply asking questions and venting frustration. It happened last year and continues this year. It's unfortunate, but here we are.
no good for me, I only like British Railways, so will stay with TSW3. Happy being there. Even Flying Scotsman is no temptation, got all I need in TSW3
It happens on several stations, Garden City is oneof them. Starf from Hempstead, drive to Garden City and you will see. As for the rest, if game brsking bugs are the only thing ruining your experience and you don't care about anything else, well... i would call that placing the bar quite low, but good for you I guess. I have higher standard for paid products.
I think JD is going to have a busy morning.. It might help if the technical differences (portals got ai etc) between 3 and 4 were really explained in a way that made clear the technical requirements for this evolution. If I were DTG I'd be realigning my discourse to flood out that messaging. A lot of the discontent could be alleviated with some understanding of this.
