It is really interesting to hear you are starting to prefer it to TSC to build on. We had heard it is a steep learning curve, but would you say that with the editor now being public it is worth learning and has more ultimate potential?

Oh its certainly a big leap in learning. It was like starting from scratch again when we started to get into the tooling all those months ago. But it does get easier the more you get into it. I was dreading it at first, but yeah now its my preference. I am excited to see what other users can bring to the table in their own creations. Its certainly an exciting time!

I do think the potential is huge now though that the tools will be made public. It changes things massively!

What has been done to Change the Class 47, Mk2 Coaches and Class 08? (I notice the 08 has got a new paintjob)

Looking at screenshots the 47 hasn't changed. It would've been nice to see it gain a high-intensity headlamp, but this route will be a day 1 for me anyway. (Although I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to paste the headlight from the WSR 47 onto the 47/4 ;);))

So the High Intensity Lamp is something we are wanting to try and make possible for this, we understand that it is quite an important visual to have on the loco. However we cannot fully promise this at the moment, it will all come down to how much work is required to get it working etc via modifying the core loco model. We will keep you posted on this however when we have a firmer answer.

Cheers for the info Tom. I've a feeling a lot of it will be balancing performance against detail. I was building a world today and imported some Megascans grass, scaled it up etc. Looked incredible.....until I checked out the fps counter :(

If it's another BR era route you're onto a winner. ;)

Would love to see it in a large loco livery too (both as a personal preference, to see something new, and because the route's a little further into the 80's than NTP).

Apart from Salwick (which is intentional) we're not noticing that, Preston and Blackpool are full of life but need some tweaking so passengers congregate where we want them to.

From a 3D artist perspective I way prefer working with unreal compared to TSC.

I can quickly update a texture or model without having to reload at all which saves me tons of time in trying to get things just right.

So far from what I have seen this route looks very promising. Being worked on for such a long time it looks well crafted.

Definitely looking into picking this route up at launch, great choice with the class 142 and the scenery details are looking really well done.

I’ve got a lot if not all of the other layers, so definitely will be getting to use the full experience with the layers in this.

This route is not in my prefered period, but will check it for sure because it seems a lot of work was put into it and I feel I could enjoy it anyway.

As was mentioned, if it wasn't for the Pacer, I'd be giving this route a miss.

Diesel loco hauled services (and the finniky devil spawn that is the class 101) just don't interest me, as shown by my WCL journey with almost every 150/2 service gold medal but only 1 loco hauled trip.

How did you find the new Scenario Editor?
Are you able to path AI services to all sidings / platforms on the route or, if not, are there portals available so that we can get more traffic on the route?
(Speaking as someone who, so far, has tried and failed miserably with the unofficial editor).
    Thanks.

Would love to see them do Merseyrail with the 507/508. I am amazed it has not yet been in either TS games. Please JT we need it ;)

Really looking forward to this route, it looks really fantastic. We haven't had a proper BR era route since TVL in 2019 (unless you count WCL). Would it be appropriate to have the Class 47 in large logo livery instead to better differentiate it from the NTP one? (with the Blue NTP 47 subbing back in).

The 47 being era set correctly would be a great addition. In TSW the 47 that appears the most on railtours etc has no headlight or radio Ariels (Ariels are not correct for 1986 they came after 1988 iirc). A large logo one would be fantastic. That livery was great when it came out not least because you could see the numbers from a distance.

I've purchased and enjoyed quite a number of Just Trains add-ons for TS and am looking forward to this one, especially having learned that freight traffic and shunting will be included.
I'll just add that this thread, like so many others on this forum, suffers from a plethora of garbage, leading me to again lament the lack of a "thumbs down" response option.

JT Mark Where will/or have you sourced the sounds for the Class 47/4 from? The reason I ask is that it is one of my favourite diesel locos.

It's the same Class 47/4 from Northern Trans-Pennine, no new sounds.

I’m usually a modern route buyer, but have to admit this looks quite a good and interesting one. The couple of destination stations and variation is exactly what should be offered imo.

I’m currently unsure of getting TSW4 as don’t feel it is worth it personally, but if it was in TSW3 I think I’d be getting this one.

Also well done to the JT guys for interacting with the forum, it seems small but actually goes a long way with the community, please do keep that up.

I don't know what else I can say that hasn't already been said about this route. It looks amazing! :D

JT are filling in a hole that has been open since TSW2020, it's been way, way, way too long since we've had a BR Blue era route, and this one also looks to be the best one yet! You've got a variety of services, using a nice assortment of stock, plus layers. You have multiple destinations, as opposed to a more linear route and you've even gone the extra mile by including a freight-only branch! Finally, we also have the Pacer in TSW!

All of this is in their first TSW route, now that's how you make an entrance!

I will be supporting this route by purchasing it for both PC and PS5 on day one. Really can't wait to get my hands on this release.

Looking forward to your future projects too. Good job JT!

I'm really looking forward to this route, the yellow BR vans look amazing on the screenshots. Makes buying TSW 4 worth it now just for this. The ECML route I just thought ' yeah fair enough, at least it brings Doncaster into the game' but this kind of makes me think 'wow, I can't wait for this'.

With regards Large Logo 47s, there are many many fantastic versions on Content Creators club. Download a load of them and the game will spawn them in randomly.

A question related to the class 47/4 is, will the NTP version substitute the included 47/4 so that I can use my liveries from the NTP version in Timetable mode?

Have you got the option so the Class 47's can use the current ones from Creators Club that have been uploaded (livery designer ones)?
Looking forward to the route. Its a shame there is no AC electric locos available that we could have had the odd AC electric AI service up and down the WCML sections at Preston.

Not to point out the obvious but you have to buy TSW 4 to use this JT route, so by buying TSW 4 you are supporting Dovetail irrespective that in your head you are convincing yourself that you are not supporting DTG. Just an observation?

REALLY looking forward to gaining a whole new level of hate for the 142! Lol. Looking forward to seeing this route and having fun driving the worst thing BREL ever built! It's going to interesting having the same experience driving those bouncy castles on wheels that the original drivers had while they were in service

Out of curiosity will the rolling stock (other than the pacer) be brought up to TSW3/4 standards or is it just a case of them being layered into the route? It would be nice to see the wheel blur added to the older locos and stock.

I would like to ask a rather different question in the scheme of things
I was wondering how JT will support the route in terms of bug fixes and those kind of things?

I haven't followed any TSC work being a console player but sometimes TSW third parties have struggled a little to follow up with their content post release :)

Im very much looking forward to the route and it looks beautiful on the screen shots. Its just sometimes a little of a background thought for people when buying third party content for TSW :)

Indeed they are, thank you for correcting me. I do remember seeing some 47s with the ETH sockets mounted just above the buffer beams, and looking at photos that appears to be the case, so maybe there was some variation in the mountings?

We have a history of continuing to support products. There's no intention to change that, of course there's the extra layers that we can't just upload files to our website (as we'll be going via DTG and Steam), so updates wont be as easy, but we'll still be planning to fix issues where necessary.

Would you be planning on bringing some of your TSC back catalogue to Train Sim World at all? Routes, Loco / Wagon DLC.
I know what the official "if its not on the road map" answer would be but have you considered doing some?

Their Bristol area would be great, Severn Beach line etc. Very good in TSC. Think they have ruled out the Met for the time being and anyway I would prefer the A60 era. Didn't JT also do Edinburgh to Dundee? That also would be very good.
