so about the 4 routes that is given to people who bought the special bundle. Do you get those 4 routes that are compatible with TSW4 for free if you get the special bundle?
The extra routes are not upgraded for TSW4 features. If you own them in TSW3 on the same platform, they will carry over. You get all the TSW4 routes from the Standard+Deluxe version, though. If you buy Standard Edition you will get the updated DRA for free if you own it but you will have to wait until launch day to use it because Standard does not get early access. If you buy the other 2 you can use at least the 3 standard TSW4 routes and DRA during early access and the rest on launch day, if not sooner. Here's a list of DLC and which feature(s) they support https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...1072374-train-sim-world-add-on-guide-acronyms
Wait so... if you buy special. all you get is just being able to pick routes that werent upgraded for TSW4 to be upgraded for TSW4? Routes that i own from TSW3 will carry over to TSW4 without a need to purchase the special pack right? if that is not it. Yea i am confused what do u get from the 4 tsw routes if u get the special pack. care to give an example?
Okay let me try and explain. With the special pack you get: Boston-Providence, LGV, SEHS and Linke-Koblenz. The routes themselves arent update and dont effect TSW4 base routes atall. The routes do not upgrade they are simply extras for paying extra you get 4 routes. If your intrested in those 4 routes and dont own any of only own one of them then its argueably a bargain, elsewise I highly recmomend going with deluxe as special adds no TSW4 only content that the deluxe dosent.
ooooh i see. Wait is any of them UK routes ? cuz if so then i might just get the deluxe edition and save a few pence
SEHS is UK and one of the most popular, loads of trains with it too. Boston = US passenger LGV = high speed french 320km/h Left Rhine = German 90's with the classic BR 103 If you're into UK and you don't have SEHS, that's well worth a grab imho, but the other routes there were picked because they're clear favourites with players. Matt.
I have bought the TSW3 deluxe edition which itself already included SHES and the LGV route is free. again they will be ported to TSW4 once i got the game. So is it better to just get deluxe edition considering i already have 2 of the 4 routes? (then again i am mostly interested in the UK routes)
Yeah. Definetly better getting TSW4 deluxe. Even if you only care about UK the flying scotsman+ECML are more expensive seperate so you mightaswell get the deluxe anyway to save some money and get a 4 day early release.
