So guys I just wanted to share my opinion about TSW4. I have already pre ordered it and I am so hyped to play it as always when DTG releases something new. Call me stupid but I love this game and trains so I don't care about in my opinion small amount of bugs on the stuff I am playing. TSW4 will be great again some nice new routes great features and good little things like new timetable köln-aachen, the red-white BR628 and so on. I am just enyoing this game!
I am very much looking forward to it too. I agree, despite the bugs, and also what I feel are missed opportunities to make routes more interesting or complete, TSW is and has been a great simulator and has given me hours of enjoyment.
I'm certainly quite hyped and unusually positive! I think the route selection this time helps, even if I would have preferred a Deltic on my ECML. Many QOL improvements and of course the editors. Really can't wait for 21 Sept.
With the editor available, the moders like LM and his friends will really have something to bring changes to the TSW4 routes, they can even add buildings and such.
I'm really frustrated by DTG's decision to just abandon TSW3, they have a long list of patches all lined up to go with TSW4 but those products were purchased on TSW3 and should be patched there as well. Having said that I love playing the game and TSW4 is offering 3 routes for the normal price of 1 so I'll dutifully sign up, but once we're six months in I'll be wary of buying any new content knowing it won't be fixed until TSW5 anyway. And I really want to play Blackpool-Preston-Ormskirk, it looks stunning and great content will always win a purchase from me.
TSW4 really does seem to be a great next step, the best part being one of the routes runs right past my back garden and through the land I have roamed and had some good times on all my life. I do wish it was done in the 70s or 80s but the ECML route will be such a good one to see in game for me even with the 801s. I cannot wait for the 21st!
Yea I’m quite hyped (trying to keep it down still, just to manage potential over expectations and be happier in discovering what good things it can bring) 21st seems a while a way still, but like most days will likely come quick. I’m looking forward to seeing the streams on the new routes and features, I did have a look into the gamescon video on YouTube I think it was, just to have a quick earlier see of it.
Yes, I'm pumped for this launch. With the AVL and the updated NYT timetable there's some good US content. Add the QoL and the editors and, on paper at least, it's a heck of a package. I'm not boarding the love train just yet, though, not until I have all this content on my machine and it lives up to the hype.
I am looking forward seeing the streams too, to get a first look at it. Nice to see that you guys are hyped too. I don't think the old routes are completely abandoned they are still coming back to improve for example Nahverkehr Dresden or the New York Trenton timetable. Still I am hoping for a timetable update for München Augsburg when the BR 420 comes, cause its my hometown route and in my opinion it has a lot of potential.
Not hyped, but not annoyed about TSW4 at this point, I need to see how AVL is, how the content is handled for it and see how much one can push free roam.....
I'm very hyped. Weird as Starfield is coming out and I notice a lack of interest towards Starfield. Should be the game to be hyped about at the moment but I'm more hyped about TSW4 coming out.
No, don't even joke. That would make the game unplayable for me. The only graffiti I've seen/taken notice of in the village where I live was a small permanent maker slur on a lamp post and it sparked a 3 hour parish council meeting over the lack of respect from people visiting the village and how to combat unwanted city dwellers moving to the village. It was one of the funniest things I've witnessed! Anyhow back to the hype!
it’s one of 4 games this year that’s peaked my interest (TSW4, Starfield, AC mirage, Cities Skylines 2) though I have a bit of a lack of internal memory on my series x, that’s getting in the way of me being able to get hold of it and most others.
I mean as long as it is generic enough that it won't give away the exact location where I live I may well.
I sincerely apologise for how long it has taken me to reply in this but this alert got lost in a void when my laptop died and I just now as I were going upstairs remember which thread it were in! I have seen it in game and well the only similarity is the grass is green, apart from that not too alike, though they have captured the village as a whole very nicely I must admit. Though I am not sure how my house turned into a semi!
It didn't take you nearly as long to reply as it took me to think of asking. It just randomly popped back into my head for some reason and I was curious. Glad they did a good job on your village!
