I like timetable mode. Particularly when I am able to chain services together. I can bring a train into service from the depot and do a run after that.

Scenarios are for when I want a scripted event such as a door failure (just an example).

If I want pre-set conditions not bound by a scenario, and cannot decide on the conditions for timetable mode (eg weather), then I will choose journey mode.

Time table all the way for me. Sometimes do scenarios but when I want to just take train x for a drive I will do it in timetable.

Timetable mostly and the occasional scenario for newer routes. I have never played journey mode, I don't need a playlist to make my choices for me. :)

Timetable mode 100%, scenarios and journey mode 0%.

I like timetable mode for several reasons:
    - I like to complete as many timetabled services with a potential aim to complete all if possible; London Commuter is a great example, nearly two years and I've still yet to complete HALF of the timetable, absolutely amazing value for money.
    - Once I finish a service, unless it's a GOAT, I never replay the same service ever again.
    - Much more long-term gameplay; If it's a busy route like London Commuter or SEHS, no service is hardly ever the same.
    - Choosing the weather/season to give it some variation.
    - Finally, when I play timetable mode, I always start at the place that I'd finished at prior.

Mostly timetable but also journey mode. I'll always begin with scenario mode to learn the basics and route.

I mostly play service mode, though I often try to work through journey mode first, for the completion sake in me, so I don’t need to do the same service twice to get the green tick. And can therefore dedicate time to the other services rather than wanting to repeat first for the sake of the tick.

however i often prefer the creativity (sense at least) in service mode over journey so I often revert on that. I also go through the scenarios more when I’m in journey mode, I do enjoy all the modes and I’m glad they are their.

99.9 % timetable mode, i search a service in the current time, set the weather to the current one, then i spawn on foot and take over the train.

Sometimes i do more than 1 service in the same session. Usually i do the freight train calculations my self for knowing the brake values, gives the most fun to me.

Mostly Journey as I feel this represents the "Editor's Choice" for each route. However I will also go back in and do layered timetable runs which don't get a Journey entry, particularly on the German routes to experience more varied traction.

Most scenarios get picked up in the Journey anyway.

One item missing from the poll is Quick Play. Been using that a fair bit lately when I couldn't decide what to do and it does produce some interesting results, routes I'd largely forgotten about, stuff from layers (as noted) and scenarios too.

I start with journey which is all I have time for mostly.
I move onto timetable for trains I particularly like, 101 for example.
