I have looked at the release dates for all the DLC on TSW, along with the pattern on content. What are the communities thoughts on what is coming up next?

    1. Based on the current pattern of content release, the next DLC will drop April/May 2019.

    2. The TSW content pattern (for PC) has been USA, UK, Germany, USA, UK, Germany, USA, UK, Germany.

More German, UK or USA DLC? Or a change?

    Thoughts?

Next route is probably going to be US route. Dont see them breaking their cycle anytime soon. Could of course be wrong and they suprise us with a different route. End of April would be my guess for the release, with an announcement somwhere in the middle.

I am thinking the next DLC could be related to Virgin trains in England. Dovetail did a recent article on their visit to explore their train system. I am more than happy with more English tracks. Mind you, other European nations have Virgin trains running through them I assume?

To my knowledge Virgin only runs trains in the UK. Also the next route will very very likely be American. DTG always follow the US-UK-DE cycle.

Wherever it is, I'd like it to include switching/shunting scenarios and services.

The visit happened in January. I don't think anything from that visit would be ready in April/May, but I may be wrong.
95% sure it's an American route, I don't think the US/UK/DE cycle will change this year.

My guess is a Norfolk Southern freight route.
    - We have two passenger routes on all platforms and one freight for PC only. Console players don't have access to US freight route right now, so my guess is DTG will seek to remedy that. Other countries have at least some freight (RSN and MSB for German content, GWML and future NTP DLC for the UK content).
    - Quite a large part of the community wants a freight route
    - They have NS licence

But of course, it's just a wild guess :)

    Not that wild at all.
Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation cooperative freight route is the best option for DTG.

I hope you're right, would like to see some NS double stacks or auto racks. Hell I take regular manifest at this point.

I too think it will be US (no break to established cycle) but I sooo wish for more interesting scenarios or some form of editor to allow scenario creation. They create these great routes and either nothing much happens on scenarios/services or you don’t use much of the available track, for example a Heathrow express coming into Paddington on GWE, why not?

Hopefully we get to see Xbox One X enhancement and steam locos first!

If it is a new route then I'd like east coast mainline Kings Cross to York

Hadn't thought of that. Yes, they would be the same licence.

I think the next dlc will be american (as you've all said to keep in with the cycle) and most likely a freight focused route. After that as there will be two of each DLC country, i expect there will be a completely different country we have never seen before. Maybe netherlands or something. I also think there will be a diesel loco add on for the german route, the freight pack for NTP, another loco add on for american (maybe LIRR) and of course theres the other loco add on (182) for the german route. So i think this year will be pretty exciting! I think its also apparent that theres been a slight delay on the 182 release (after everyone wanted PZB sorted which wasn't in the original plan) and its been a bit quiet since messart bahn, so a few dlcs may be announced quite quickly after one another.

Not necessarily. Could have been a license specifically to the previous software title which means that they would possibly need an extension or a complete new agreement to use in TSW.

I would expect the next route to be announced in the next few weeks. The Hudson line from USA?

I disagree, thats a commuter route and there LIRR was also a passenger route i think they will go with freight because thats what people want

I find your objection offensive Mr Cheesypuff.

Only joking. I agree with you that a freight route would be far better than a passenger route for USA.

Haha! I personally would rather have a passenger route because i like stopping and the challenges associated with staying on time..
