I like Ctrl+F12 for taking screenshots because then I can dig into the files and admire my beautiful screenshots without having to load the game. This is also useful because some of those screenshots I use as a screensaver for my laptop.

Photo mode looks great, and if I could get TSW4 I would most definitely use it, but I am wondering if I can view them locally, because it was said that they are linked to the Ctrl+F10 Dovetail Live screenshots, which I can't view locally.

Basically, can I view photo mode screenshots locally?

yesn't. you can hide the UI (saw the shortcut in a screenshot) and do a Steam-screenshot with F12

p.s.: why crtl+F12 anyway? does just pressing F12 not work for you?

You can save the DTL screenshots to your computer because that's what I do to put them on the screenshot contest and I do that on a separate laptop without TSW installed on it.

That's how I understood it in the Vorralberg Stream. The Screenshots are saved in the Game and must be uploaded to DovetailLive afterwards. So theoretically they should also be found somewhere on your Computer.

F12 saves it to Steam, Ctrl+F12 saves it to Documents>My Games>>> That was the first one I found, and I wasn't bothered to dig through Steam. Remember I got Steam for the sole purpose of playing TSW2.

Oh I didn't know that! That is interesting to know!
I wasn't sure, although I am glad you understood it.
Thanks Matt. I am happy now.

Is there anyway we could have an option added to make the loading screens our own photos we have taken? Like randomly select them. Would be really cool.

If you’re on PC you can use the GodMode mod which allows you to do a Ctrl+F12 high-quality screenshot in photo mode and saves to your screenshots folder like any other would.

As to the above suggestion, yes please. In my opinion the loading screenshot when the game first released (Cajon Pass) was a great shot. The current one (Class 66 on ECML) looks pretty damn terrible, to such an extent it almost looks like a different game.

Yeah, not really like the current loading screen, and not really liking when it's used for advertisements either lol.
Now that we have this new photomode, we should be able to use our own stock of pictures.

All that current shot does is slap in your face every time you play the game just how terrible (really terrible) the raindrop effects are!

I'm not sure why water is handled so terribly in this game. The default raindrops, and pretty much all rivers/oceans look awful. They really stick out compared to the rest of the scenery/assets.
Like the new rain on the windscreen looks good, but behind it you have those terrible raindrops.

JSON typically stands for JavaScript Object Notation - I'd imagine (having looked at the contents of the ones linked to photo's I have taken) - its the file that tells DTL where the photo was taken, what service etc...
