Sorry I had mentioned this before. But I was wondering if I can remove the speedometer and the gradient and the MPH in tsw4. But just use only the stop at locations. I’m just trying to limit what in my field of view. Is there a setting to remove them in tsw4 setting. For I don’t have to use the keyboard to remove them. Oh I just wanted to add. Can the AP point indicator and that line bar to the right of the screen be removed as well. Thank you.
Use the new mini hud to achieve this. You can remove the speed limit, but not the gradient from the top left bar. and yes, both the top right indicators can be removed. Matt.
can the top right part of the hud be used to show upcoming speed limit changes, but not upcoming signal aspects? I'd like to know upcoming speed changes but would prefer not to see the colour of the signals on the hud if that makes sense!
ok thanks. I was wondering if there a way to remove the gradient by using the keyboard. I will be using the mini hud that look nice. I’m gonna put mine on expert by default. That full experience will be the best. But if the keyboard can’t remove the gradient by keyboard it still ok it still gonna be fun.
Yes, I’ve seen this, I think it’s turning next aspect off, then you get to see position of signals but not the colour.
Would probably still only display main signals, not distant signals, like TSW2020/TSW2/TSW3 does. Most notable on German routes.
I think having a toggleable TSW2/3 HUD option would be nice. I really don't find anything in the new HUD to be of assistance, the current HUD conveys enough info in the top-left without the barbershop thing, gradient etc. Not a huge deal either way though, not losing sleep over it.
this is actually how I want to drive in tsw4. I think I can handle the new hud on the top left in tsw4. The pic you see here is tsw3. But in tsw4 I want to make it look like this with the new hud. I hope this is possible.
We’ve only seen the new HUD so far with relatively low speed routes. With only 2km of visibility, it will be interesting to see how the HUD deals with high speed trains.
This is how I drive also, but I also have the next signal marker on (but it’s aspect off). I think Matt posted above that you can’t remove the gradient from the top left, but signals and speed on right can go.
I’m not loving the new HUD. I hope it can be exactly the same as in TSW 3. I noticed on the Antelope stream that the old style HUD was missing the gradient icon and the brake status dials.
Select "Normal" for everything you had before. Select "Simple" to lose the gradient and brake dials. Select "Minimal" to lose everything from the bottom right and just have the new bit in the top left. Should be enough of a range of settings to meet everyone's reasonable expectations I think. Matt.
Like more customizability but I havnt seen onstream yet and wonder when do CTRL+1 to remove the next station pin, does this go up to the top left on the minimal hud like in normal? Would have also been nice to get stations into the new top-right map like TSC. I also would love a 'very small' option to reduce everythings size even more!
CTRL-1 hasn't put anything in the top left for a long time - the details that used to get added are now there all the time, have been since i think before TSW3 even. It still works to toggle the marker display on and off of course, but that's it. Matt.
Ah double checked and see you're correct. However, the next station number has been replaced with a bar on the new minimal hud instead. I preferred the old distance method, but like the look of the new mini hud. Will probably take some getting use to and messing about with.
Ok thanks I think this gonna work out pretty good. I will scroll around the setting menu in tsw4 first Set everything up. Perfect we can remove the gradient by selecting simple. Now that good news.
Basically almost everything is turned off. What you see on the screen is what I only have on. I think the mile thing can’t be turned off unless you remove everything on your screen using your keyboard I think.
Glad to hear. Shame the minimal option doesn't have it, but at least I'll be able to play TSW4 the same way I play TSW3. That's a reassurance at least. Wouldn't want to rely on the ugly intrusive objective marker. Once TSW4 releases I'll have a play at different HUD settings to see which one suits me best.
