Hopefully they changed something on the Vorarlberg route. They gave us the old 185.2 and not the new one. But if there should be a new ICE then it needs to be the 407/408

 

407 is being modded (consolen't) so we pretty much get that soon, 408 is bloody similar to it, and the 412 is being left out?

 

412 is not for Rhein Main, u need a route trough Swiss or Basel to Frankfurt (Main),

to add to that, there ARE 412s (12 and 13 car formations) driving through there aswell with their top speed of 265 km/h

Not all are allowed 265 but most of them should be, but over the 7car Ice4 idk I think they are just allowed for 250

 

But which one u want? Even the DB itself names them like this. ICE4, ICE4XL and ICE4XXL

 

7 car one is weak L

 

The ICE4XXL 13 car is the strongest. It has more than 1000hp more than the 12 car ICE4XL

 

12 car one is optimally good. not too long but not too slow either

If u look in the south of Germany here are normally no ICE4 driving. (except the ICE118/119) But that one is more like an Replacement train. The ICE4 is only seen in Germany and 1 time a day in Austria because of the OEBB not having enough coaches.

They are not able to repair their trains. For the timetable they have not enough trains but the depot can't handle to much trains. And New they invented that in the desiro ml the inside will be Rebuilt every time the season changes. Summer, winter, Autumn, Spring.

With railteon you mean the vectron railjet/nightjet, I think. This units will be Add capacities And will create new timetables. Maybe new countries. Railjet to istanbul or something haha.

 

The OBB ordered 20 Stadler Kiss 4, over 500 Mireo units. and the Vectron night/railjets. Some of the mireos will be used on railjet Timetables. Something nobody would do. 160kmh train on a service that should drive 200kmh or more. And that should have good comfort and more. City jet will be the next railjet.

 

Speaking of the Austrian route they actually use a special locomotive to do Shunting duty in ÖBB Dokumentation Verschublok Baureihe 1063 Vorarlberg Steiermark Graz Bruck an der Mur the new Austrian route turns out to be Vienna area then Baureihe 1064 Wien Kledering Kärnten Villach Süd

I would just say the Railjet (old) are not comfortable at all. I hope the new trains will fix that issue

I would prefer to drive 30kmh slower but having an Eurofima with good seats.

 

In Austria you would have seen Siemens Vectron ÖBB Baureihe 1293 written in their official documents. Since they are expanding there 1293 Fleet it's time for them to be running sleeper train runs that means if you stand around 7:45 at HRR Duisburg you are going to see it northbound to the Netherlands next stop Utrecht Centraal from HRR/HDBU

 

Oh, I disagree! At least in business class. Very comfortable indeed (more so than DB)

 

Mind you, the Taurus 1116s (ES 64U2) are pushing 20 years old, and it makes sense to replace them with Siemens' successor design.
