    Hi all,

Been away a while but getting back in to trainsimulator. Notice that we gotten OLD, errr I mean CLASSIC :)

Too bad my legacy account from over 15 year ago or so got lost, but hey worse has happened in the world :)

Left a while ago because the black-screens after loading the game made it *&^%&**&^^

Did things improve with the new 2023 core upgrade and DX12 support ?

My system specs of my 14" HP Laptop are:
    • Model: HP Pavilion x360 14-ek0975nd
    • Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit
    • CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U
    • RAM: 16096 MBytes
    • Motherboard: HP 8A34 (U3E1)
    • Resolution: 1280x720 pixels@60Hz
    • GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics (HP) , Driver 31.0.101.4091
    • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
    • Storage: 1TB SSD
    • Audio: B&O , Realtek High Definition Audio
    • Train Simulator: Version V74.8a

    Gameplay . . . mainly US Diesel !

Just bought the Tehachapi Pass and looking forward to checking it out !

Welcome back. Im kinda new to this myself however enjoying the geography lesson served with running these routes. For me it is all about the journey and less of the technique (which I am not very good at).

Woodland Tracks, how are your graphics using a GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics (HP) Driver 31.0.101.4091?

I thought we all needed an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 460 with 2 GB VRAM or more

Please could you show a photo?

I now have a faster system (specs in my sig) but that system also still have an XE Graphics card.

Biggest issue in my opinion is not the less nice graphics but the low Frames Per Second.

I will see (later this week) if I can get a screen shot to compare them.

I have a ROG Zephyrus and it has slightly lower FPS compared to my 8.5 years old desktop with an i7-4790 and a GTX 970. Just cloned, same settings, everything. (Fun fact: Steam cannot do anything with it. Tries to update then timeout, once a minute, forever.)
Ideally you should be able to designate the proper GPU, many reported some time ago that TSC tends to pick up the integrated graphics.
I don't see any other issues, except maybe using overly strong settings. Unlike mine, yours is Intel-Nvidia which should be the best for this - and good ones at that.

I think I can use the Nvidea software to force using the XE for Railworks
