I created a short but funny (I guess) checklist for all the things you could do with the Vectron to be satisfied with the results: - do your First Run - do Speed Tests on Training Center - Complete Freight Service(s) - Complete Scenario(s) - Do a Passenger Run (Free Roam or whatever) - Test every feature you can find (such as every headlight setting, hazard lights (if fixed), horn etc.) - Test Swiss and French power system of Vectron on Luzern-Sursee and the LGV Route - Test if both IC cars and Dosto cars work fine with door controls (because the 182 didn't) - Use the roadrunner feature (train length) - forget to confirm AFB change atleast once - forget to cut in the brakes atleast once - forget to release the brakes atleast once you can use it if you want, put a ✔ behind the things you completed when early access dropped
I really hope they’ve made both Swiss and French dual-voltages working with the BR193. The same voltages are available for the BR185.5 but it wasn’t simulated, pantographs don’t work.
One to add to your checklist... run 49765 Wolfurt to Lindau-Reutin service. Just ran it, nice and short, held up behind another train for a bit so some adverse signals, plus you get the neutral section and power system changeover at the border before you come to a stop. Short but keeps you busy I just tested a bunch of different region settings for the power system and it raises different pantographs in every case so I presume they're kinda working. The Vectron also has a neat power protection system that in some cases will auto-lower the pantograph if you're using completely the wrong system too, and certainly won't let you close the MCB if it's not valid. I don't have a swiss or french (non-LGV) route to test it out on tho Matt.
I'm really liking what DTG are building with the Vectron loco and I hope it won't be left as is but rather used as base module to build on. License providing, there are so many users, variants and countries thst it can open up. I can see why the equipment room was not modeled as it is very complex compared to other German locos on the game and the face it would need to be changed along with cab if other versions were to be produced.
Add another check list item: Drive the Vectron in multi traction (Vectron + Vectron at the head of the formation), for example on Vorarlbergbahn. The max tractive/braking effort will automatically be limited to not exceed 450 kN total TE or 240 kN total BE. It only works with other Vectrons since these can use WTB (Wire Train Bus). If the Vectron is MU:d to a BR182 or a BR185 it uses ZMS/ZDS (time division multiplexing multi/double traction) which does not have this capability.
