Hey, I would like to suggest a new feature that is called "random events" it should bring multiple events to TSW, that can happen while running on the route like passengers blocking the doors, train delays, weather effects to stop a train service, train beake downs, in which a different loco has to bring the shut down train to it's destination and a lot of other events, that might bring more action to the game
This would be great in timetable mode! It should be toggleble though, players before starting a service should be able to toggle the frequency of random events before starting. Very good idea and highly requested! This always gets my upvote.
It would be a great feature, do to it's impossibility to recreate a real timetable mode, with real life events, so it could bring a balance and would bring more life to time table mode, and would always guarantee a different drive experience
Those are great additions, thanks for mentioning those! I've anyone has more ideas feel free to add it to bis post!
Yes well said this is also good for timetable mode because it's totally natural to have delays sometimes due to an incident! But the suggestion overall I like the sound of.
This is a great suggestion there could also be signal failures at points and broken down trains holding the line overall amazing suggestion
I do agree that random events can add to realism. Games such as ETS2, Bud simulator, SIMSIG etc have something similar. Implementing aspects like Signal Failure, train issues, points failures etc can make journeys interesting.
Also adding some maintenance work to the route, in which the train has to use the other track to cross the construction site, including the aspect of other trains crossing it first, which would lead to some delays. It's definitely important to have a variety of events to make TSW fun to play, for example ETS2 is a game, that always guarantees a variety of game experience and that is what I love about it and really hope to see in TSW too!
Yea. Same with FernBus Simulator actually. You can toggle the frequency. And it's fun when it happens.
There could also be some events in which passengers block the doors and you'll have to send those passengers away and also door failures
Yea. Bus Sim 21 handles this well. Every so often you'll have to get a passenger to move from the doors or turn the music down or whatnot.
The key would be that it only affects the player train. Then it might be possible to introduce it. For timetable mode (on foot, for example) to work accurately, it cannot be part of the precalculated timetable. So it could only be something that develops while playing and does not persist. But this is actually the biggest problem. With savegames, you have to recreate the state. That is very difficult with these dynamic events.
It would be possible that some random ai might get selected to be influenced by an event and if it's a train, that is driving in front of you, than it would be your luck if a specific event happens, but in generell it should definitely only effect the player train, but some delays caused by different trains would be really cool
