Quoting the DLC compatibility overview page

    "Blue Add-ons
These routes support the new lighting model introduced in TSW 3. These routes will support volumetric fog in TSW 4."
    https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...74-train-sim-world-add-on-compatibility-guide

apparently TSW3 routes also support volumetric fog (when ported to TSW4), not just TSW4 routes, because they both share TOD4, the newer lighting system.

am I just the only one who recently realised that or did other people not know that either?

I'm sure you're not the only one. Unless you're actively looking for news, you wouldn't know and realize much later. Also been mentioned in livestreams, but don't beat yourself up for knowing late

The fact it's been mentioned means that someone else is probably thinking it!

Don't feel bad for asking questions! No question is unimportant to ask the day before Early Access :)

I didn’t know either tbh. There’s a lot of info to digest, which is a good thing.

I think you've found the exception to the rule.

Are there rules about dangly things?

I think Matt talked about it in a stream and how as long as it’s TOD4 it works, can’t remember which one, but that’s how I found out.
