With the release of TSW 4 just thinking would they ever layer the lner on the glasgow to edinburgh route be good
The bugs on that route make the other bugs look great… can’t believe it could be left like that… I was proper looking forward to that route and loco, but I just can’t justify purchase.
I don’t think Rivet have given up on that route. We put together some comprehensive feedback last month and Jasper acknowledged it. Now we’re apparently getting quite a lot of visual enhancements with TSW4’s day one patch. Perhaps they’re preparing the route for a gameplay pack? Quite a few of those on the roadmap…
I did suspect one of Rivets packs may be for E-G Maybe a set if Freight runs. Someone else also mentioned Rivet might be looking at extending the route to Alloa and Dunblane due to demand.
Oi! Imo it's the best Scottish route in tsw. Also Jasper has said he's hoping to get the 801 into Edinburgh - Glasgow.
I heavily suspect they may have known about TSW4 and held off on the updates then. But I also think one of the gameplay packs may be for E-G. Or hopefully it Swaps to an extension
Ccl has outdated stock in what is supposed to be the busiest station in Scotland only getting 3 trains in it at a time if your lucky. It's a boring commuter metro style route. Would have been better with different stock but the route is kinda boring to drive. I love Glasgow Central. But it wasn't replicated right. There are far nicer lines in Scotland that could have been showcased and I felt It was disappointed for that route to be the first.
Must admit, CCL is my favourite commuter route. I tend to drive the Neilston and Newton services more than the circle. But it holds a charm for me that I can't explain. I think its because the services are fairly short, vs BCC The only bugbear is the timetable is way out of wack meaning I deliberately leave early to try and keep to time at some stops (30 seconds for .6 mile stops?!) Other than that, I love it
I’m of the same feeling towards this route unfortunately. I travel this route quite regular to visit my better half, and was very excited when it was announced. The negative feedback outweighs the positive’s,but hopefully it will improve with fixes to justify a purchase.
Yea. I was so sad with all the bugs and missing features when I bought this. It was the first line I'd actually been on irl to come to TSW at the time. So disappointing.
I’ll be on that very route again in a couple of weeks, starting my journey from Peterborough to Waverley funnily enough! Having just bought TSW4 deluxe the walk around Peterborough station will be a bit of a comparison to what I’ve played. Every time I walk round Edinburgh Waverley I often wonder what the comparison would be like if I owned the route Hopefully one day.
As a completely off topic post, I got the 20:17 from Glasgow central back to Edinburgh last night and was shocked to see a 2 car 158 pull in to Central. I almost never got on it as didn’t think it could possibly be the right train. Was a nice little retro run! Back on topic slightly, would be great to get a ScotRail 158 into the game too.
Hoping one of Rivets 2 routes are a Scotrail Sprinter based route. Fife circle or something similar would be lovely!
The Argyle line out of Glasgow Central would be a good route to do, eventually reaches Edinburgh Waverley on the way to the main East Coast line.
I think there might have been a fault on a train and they used that as a temporary measure. Very rare now days indeed though! Wow!
As much as I like the class 334. It's a bit stop start for me even as a passenger. Personally I'd prefer something like fife circle or highland lines but we all have opinions
Only other thing could have been because of the extra trains sent down to Ayr due to the good cup racing, but yeah very rare.
Edinburgh to Glasgow is quite dull. I have not played it in months. Edinburgh to Dundee would have been a better route. Driving over both the Forth and Tay rail bridges. Also, room for expansion too with the Fife Circle line and the soon to be opened Levenmouth rail link. Plenty of passenger services and freight.
Omfg. Don't tell me I missed an opertunity to see class 385's running along the ayshire coast line!!! that's my local line and I was avoiding it cause of the racing cup!!! If their still running the speedy Hitachi plastic machines today then I am running down to Kilwinning asap!
Yea. But would you really want rivet to be the first people to make the class 170? It's a toss up over route quality or train quality with them. You get one or the other, not both. Or alternatively you could get none like people have been saying about west Cornwall local
True. It's not terrible but it's not good ethier. I'm not really familiar with the area so I don't mind too much cause Penzance and the approach to Penzance looks nice
Cathcart probably beats it solely because the 314 is better than the 385. EDN just about takes the cake on the scenery side, though.
