Yes please. Let's just forget about whatever this is and move back on topic please. :)

As judgement day has passed and we all got to experience ourselves if the hype was true, the time has come to say thank you! Seems like everyone at DTG worked really very hard to get us the game we want. Well done!

Yup, thanks to the TSW 4 team. What I have seen so far, it doesn't look as rushed, as some previous big releases looked.

I love the free roam options, and also the change of driving approach that the new hud brings. Also the deluxe loco content is solid (Vectron is quickly becoming my favourite DB loco, replacing the 101 in this spot). So, thank you for the hard work :)

But please... do not skimp on bugfixes and updates this time.. It is not all perfect. The minihud i.e. might require few tweaks to make it fully usable, that are already floating on this forum.

Thank you indeed, except I think for the audio department who must be called back to do something with the dreadful Azuma sounds, that ruin what is otherwise a fine train.

Aside from that though, all looking good though admittedly I’ve only scratched the surface of the new stuff and we all have to wait another 4 or 5 days (after download) to see how our legacy content plays.

Only scratched the surface so far but I like what I have seen apart from maybe the 800 sounds needing some tweaks. I am looking forward to trying freeroam out.

For me it is a worthy upgrade, especially with the editor so thanks DTG.

I don't think there's negativity. If something doesn't work it should be allowed to criticize. And what you call negativity emerges from the apparent issues.

After all, it is their job to create these things and they get paid for that, just as every other 40 hours a week hard working coalface out there.

And we pay for being Early Access beta testers, so I think while it's nice to praise DTG, it's a bit over the top concerning their lack of testing and selective communication and long standing bugs they do not want to fix.

Maybe it's because I'm working in a business that is very much about quality and quality assurance, so for me TSW4 is TSW 0.9b :)

Antelope Valley is very nice. I love the sounds and graphics and it just feels very immersive. I'm familiar with the area living in California and its really well done. Thanks DTG!

Pushing the negatives aside for a moment, TSW 4 brings some great bits.

ECML adds a nice experience and something different for the UK, a nice long stretch of mainline for conventional trains, can’t wait to get the rest of my UK fleet other to have a good play about on it.

Antelope Valley is a surprise for me, I figured the length of services combined with the low speeds would relegate it abit for me, but it’s really great, I’ve done a couple of full length runs and 20 min services, and I just love the vibe this route has. I think my favourite part of it has to be between San Fernando & Newhall, the section where you cross under the freeway sprawl, into a tunnel & appear into a lush desert.

By far my most favourite thing though, has to be free roam within the timetable. Absolutely pushed TSW up a few notches.

Bonus shoutout to the Vectron, lovely bit of kit & it’s up there with the 101, 465, 158 & 323 for me.

Issues already reported on Steam like doors refusing to open after you click that one... ;)

Used timetable freeroam before with GodMode, so nothing new but a good thing to now set waypoints.

What I like is the routes, Antelope and Vorarlberg are a joy to drive on!

Sounds like every business in the world. :o I guess your company doesn't have a forum where everyone criticises your job? ;)

I still need to work out an order to do things and see everything. I lost the save I did on AVL last night as I had to overwrite it with my ECML one. I think Vorarlberg might beckon next, maybe with the Vectron on a timetable run, as the Vectron Journey mode on DRA starts you off with a rather mundane tow a few locos and drop them off scenario.

What I delivered... works. :) And if I failed be sure my boss made me... aware of it in his own unique style.

The forum was created by DTG themselves, and people were initially saying "We have the Steam forums already....". If you ask for feedback, you should get it.

I have to admit, I'm looking at things maybe in a very analytical way, so when I tested TSW4 yesterday, I was looking for stuff that did not work, I almost feel obliged to do so - that's just me. Because I think the earlier bugs get reported the likelier a fix is. To really enjoy the route, I must start over again and go from testing into playing mode. Can't mix both :), collecting Cons first, then Pros.

It's pretty good. I still don't think it qualifies as a "new game"- it's basically TSW 2.8 - or as a paid upgrade, but as an incremental upgrade it's a good one, and more substantial than 3 was. I like what little I have seen of the routes, although Voralberg crashed on me. So, on balance a positive verdict, although perhaps oversold for what it is. If I view it as three solid routes plus two locos at a bargain price, then it's great.
