It's the weekend now, so I doubt there will be any fix until Monday unless a update has been pushed and is awaiting to authorised by each platform. Patience is a virtue.
DTG, this is pure laziness. On TSW, every First Class seat facing towards the cab has a plug socket on the "outside" of the seat (in the aisle). If you look at a picture of real life, there are no plugs in the aisle. In real life, the plugs are in the middle (between the two seats) and next to the window. All you have done is got the same seat model and rotated it round the other way without considering the little details like this. If you are selling a game for £40 you need to get the little details like this correct.
I have to add my 'scream' to the alerter/AWS sound in the 801 being so low you can't hear it. I attempted to run service 1D09 twice and got dinged for not replying to the AWS in time at the same location leaving Doncaster. Couldn't hear the buzzer or see the on dash marker. I ran a class 66 service yesterday and the alerter/AWS sound in it was fine. For now the 801 is not playable. Realize from earlier posts its being fixed, please hurry it up, I really want to run the 801.
The azuma when the train is shutted down after a Operation, the train just starts moving with any type of power, and with the train turned off
im just doing a service to the IET depot and ive noticed that on coach b, its the opposite way around at says ' b ecivres ni ton '
Enjoyed the Azuma and the route it is on so far. The quiet AWS makes it feel like a practice run for PZB
Can’t remember if this has been mentioned but after reloading a save game, the HMI screens (Speedo and TMS) go blank after a couple of settings, meaning I need to play with the full HUD enabled again. Other than that, I can’t fault it, it’s been a cracker of a release from DTG, have enjoyed playing the 5 services I’ve played so far. They’ve took it up a notch yet again. I’m appreciating when this section of the ECML was picked even more now.
Tried to pull down the blind whilst moving on the Azuma and there was a serious graphical glitch which would genuinely trigger epilepsy, I’m driving 1B82 if that makes any difference. You can open and close it in increments but it won’t go down smoothly. Also there appears to be some kind of layer on the windows, looks like they’re steamed up. Same very apparent on the windscreen in a massive way when exiting/leaving tunnels on the Azuma.
Yes we'll PS5 user's have been having glitches what other platforms won't have, like let's say for example the DRA is showing red for other platforms (XBOX,PC) but on PS5 its blank.
One bug I found earlier: on PS5 at least, it seems the vigilance/DSD isolation switch logic is reversed: I get no vigilance alarms with it in the normal position, but the second I move the switch back to “isolated”, the alarm goes off
I think PS5 was released with the wrong version of the ECML because the PIS on PS5 looks different compared to the one in the showcase video for the azuma.
was on freeroam with the Scotsman on my 4th run to Doncaster and my game crashed im on 8th gen Xbox one S
Plus another thing why I think PS5 had a different ECML because the platinum medal is not present on the ECML on PS5.
Main gripes are the quiet traction motors and every Azuma being numbered 801234, really hope these will be rectified in the day one patch? But otherwise loving the route! Just hanging out for Tuesday to get all the other layers back in
the sound isolation on the 801 is just wrong. no matter when you close the door or have it open. when sounding the horn they sound exactly the same. the sound of the horn is loud when having the cab door open or closed. and the information screens of the 801s (where it displays where the train is bound for, its next stop etc) its just empty. I think it should display where the train is bound for and what the next station its calling at. the ECML is seriously way too boring when during driving. No not the driving experience itself but what you pass by on the route. only having the 801 doesnt really give the immersion right on the ECML. i wouldnt even mind just having reskins of the 80X family (would like to have hull, lumo, in addtion to also grand central on ECML as ai traffic). And i dont know is this the actual case but the entire route feels like a ghost town, so little train stop or pass at stations and it just feels way too quiet on such a busy route like ECML the class 801 dont use pantagraph at the front when traveling forwards as they usually have the pantagraph up on the back instead. which 5 and 9 car units have this problem, specially the 9 car units, no matter what you do the pantagraph will always be rasied at the front.
A few observations after playing this route for a few hours. Really impressed with the performance on my mid range pc. After the initial playthrough, stuttering has greatly improved on DX12. AWS sounds, as mentioned previously, need sorting. There seems to be a strange abundance of double yellows, even when there are no trains ahead, that suddenly change to green on close approach. Stopping points don't always align with markers on the platforms. Doncaster P3 seems to want me to stop right at the end, way beyond the relevant car stop sign. Not sure about the new scoring. Why does it always seem to say 'N/A' for safety systems ? And stuff such as not reacting to an AWS warning doesn't seem to matter. Even after 3 emergency stops I was late, but still got platinum. I like the new hud. However, as others have said, the barber pole gives much too little notice at high speed. My suggestion would be to make the track monitor show 2.5 miles instead of 1.25, and include station stops on it. Toglable for players who don't want to see the stops and maybe keep the pole as it is. One thing that is slightly annoying on PC is that when zooming in or out in the cab, after you use external cam, the internal view defaults back to all the way out, yet the 'up / down ' aspect stays the same. The zoom is useful on some trains where the speedo is small or unclear. And would it be possible to keep the passenger loading indication on screen when playing hudless so we know when to close the doors ? Overall, really impressed, and with a few 'quality of life' issues and bugs sorted out, this route, and TSW 4 in general, could be even better.
Few more issues that I'm sure have already been reported: The 5 car units not having an onboard shop (guessing the coach with the shop was missed out); TMS showing the wrong train reporting number then not showing your final calling point; GSM-R turning itself off (same issue as the 323); doors opening and closing way too quickly; AI trains seemingly trying to pull a Jeremy Clarkson (fitting for Doncaster) and gain more power by running both the electric and diesel motors.
Azuma - Guard panels do not work. Tried the ones next to the doors in the cab and some at random coaches. Also tried pressing the guard control button in the cab to see if it made any difference. Also, once you manually open the door in the first coach (kitchen) it is almost impossible to close it again (the door goes inside the body of the train, so you cant easily click it again).
Platform: Xbox series X There are issues with double yellow signals. Most of the time, if you pass a double yellow signal, the next signal will be green. It should be single yellow and then red. It seems to happen most of the time unless you are reaching the end of the line. That ruins the immersion as you can't trust the signals at all... Shadows on tracks are only drawed 10 feet in front of the train. The sharp edges ruins the immersion. At least blur the front of the shadow in sunny weather so it looks like the blured ones at cloudy weather as it's not that eye catching with blurred track shadows. Or add an option to disable track shadows (which I belive the PC version have?) Also Mastery challenges doesn't work. It doesn't mark the 125 mph or any timetable as completed.
PS5 - the tunnels on ECML send external cameras crazy all over the place when driving the Scotsman through (have not used external cameras on other trains). It seems to be all tunnels that do this.
DTG JD DTG Matt Any reason why the normal hud on the azuma the dial only goes too 100mph when the unit does maximum and normal line speed of 125mph IMG_1419 by gwrphil811 posted Sep 23, 2023 at 7:31 AM
When playing the game on Xbox series x I have noticed that on the track monitor the signals are showing up blank without any colour just white so i have no idea what the next signal will be. Is there any fix for this. Thanks.
Hiya, Can you provide some extra context for this please. When you say, "after a couple of settings", what does this mean?
Getting no sound whatsoever from my PS5 controller on ECML. Controller sound within the PS5 menu and the game is maxed out and not a titter.
Oops, typo! I meant to say after a couple of seconds the screens go blank and you have to keep manually clicking to turn them on!
This is an interesting thread which I had forgot about. Most of the feedback I have has been covered but on this page I notice that the double yellows to greens has been mentioned. I have a feeling this may be something to do with the level crossings closing too late but I am not certain. I am out helping a mate for most of today and tomorrow, but I am going to do some investigation into that over the next couple of days and see if my suspicion was right. I will feedback here my findings as in reality it'll be flashing greens/greens.
I'm sure some of these have already been mentioned, but I'll still list the bugs I have noticed on Xbox Series S. - Safety System sounds too quiet in 801. - DSD Alarm still sounds when reverser is in neural. - A few passenger bugs (falling onto track etc.) - while not a major issue, all unit numbers appear as 801 234. - The train headcode on the TMS does not match that on the GSMR. - Destination boards on exterior of 801 coaches does not appear. Only states the coach letter and not the destination.
Azuma cab in at least some tunnels stays brightly lit. Entering at least one tunnel caused a weird effect on the windscreen.
At 121mph on a 0.6% downward incline (according to the HUD), the Azuma lost speed (power handle OFF). I would expect a heavy train to gain or maintain speed on such a gradient.
Hi there, can i request some additional information please. When you say "run" - did you return to the main menu at any point? How much did you spawn in during you session? The more you spawn in and the longer you play the more memory is being used, so this could be caused by maxing out the memory of the console.
Interesting theory. In addition to the double yellows I also had a couple of flashing greens, immediately followed by steady green at the next signal. Something definitely needs recalibrating. Well at least the early access is picking up this sort of thing, but got to wonder why the beta testers didn’t spot it. Double yellow at 125 MPH is anchors in! Everyone spilling their coffee or being the ECML falling over where they are precariously standing in the vestibule!
Safety systems on BOTH the Azuma and class 66 are way too quiet, can't even drive with the DSD active on minimal HUD as you can't hear the warning and end up with emergency brakes going off every couple minutes.
Earned a gold medal (platinum not available) on ECML Azuma service 1B81. This isn’t shown as being earned in my profile. It says I have zero gold medals.
another thing is that the font on the PIS on the outside is not realistic it seems like dovetail ahave given it there own font
I think the hud system is seriously flawed I love the new hud but problem is every time I leave and comd back to tsw4 hud always reverts to old tsw3 style hud please fix this urgently
i spawned in the flying scotsman with coaches and a flying scotsman loco so i had two locos at both ends and no never once went back to the main menu also never came up out of memory when it crashed also when i mean run i mean going back to doncaster and then back to peterbrough and so on just doing trips up and down the line also like to add i was in free roam at the time in my opinion if 8th gen can't handle the game it shouldn't of been released on 8th gen consoles
