I think this could be quite good The extension would be The Chase Line Birmingham New Street to Rugeley Trent Valley via Duddeston Aston Witton Perry bar Tame bridge Parkway Bescot Stadium Walsall Bloxwich Bloxwich North Landywood Cannock Hednesford Rugeley Town and Rugeley Trent Valley this would also come with The Train that operated the route in 2019 (when Birmingham CC is set) The Class 170 but if its easier for dtg they could just use the 323 as it ran a few times on this route around 2019/2020

I think you forgot to mention the class 350 which can also be seen along the route and would also populate Birmingham New Street which a lot of players want...

If they go back and extend the route then it would be nice to see soho depot included as another nice addition. since it was missing from the original route.

15 mile long extension is a tad short. Any further it could go?

once it reaches Rugeley Trent valley it merges into the WCML and the services terminate.

It would probably be more realistic that they add the walsall- wolverhampton route although not completely part of the cross city as then its a longer line and gives opportunity for use of the 350 and the 170 and even potentially the 196 maybe as a DLC or a train pack without too much to add to the existing line. It will also give more freight yards such as the Bescot yard which is the opportunity for more freight scenarios and to make free roam more immersive. And then it would have the additional bit after birmingham new street, so gives more opportunity as there will be walsal to Wolverhampton services and then services that are only playable to walsal but then Carry on after like the Rugeley trent Valley as was mentioned above

I guess but the 350 didn't run on the chase line when the route is set

isn't the route set slightly in the future so class 350's should be running? since i remember them talking about how one of the stations (university) was built to how it would look in the future (and is currently in construction). The train liveries are also in the newer WMR livery rather than the London Midland livery.

It's set in 2019 as the route maps has virgin trains on it and 323 had wmr livery then

Well, there's two routes the trains use, with the advantage one would also facilitate the addition of Soho LMD, then turning right at the triangle junction and head for the Perry Barr triangle and rejoin the route between Aston and Hamstead.

i have no idea why the route maps show virgin trains on them, maybe a mistake?
but i found the part on stream where they said how one of the stations was modelled how its meant to be when it opens, which is why i think it was meant to be set slightly in the future: (38:40 - 39:55)

They also said the timetable is based around the pre-COVID timetable I think, so like a Keith Ross route, it exists in certain ways, in different eras I suspect.

I would rather have a route from Worcester to Birmingham Snow Hill and Moor Street

I thought the Cannock line was diesel only north of Walsall through to rugeley ? 323 could only get to Walsall

At the time this route was set the line had only just been Electrified and 170s and sometimes 323s ran on it all the way to Rugeley Trent Valley
