Man! My old PC, which barely made medium settings on TSW 2, runs like mad on TSW 4 on high settings! What a smooth game!

Cannot understand why people have purchased the Standard game when you got early access and so much more in the deluxe edition for only £9.75 more. The two locomotives will cost £26.00 in total on release and Dresden £30. The deluxe edition was a bargain!

The same reason people don’t upgrade to a milkshake & large meal at maccies, they just don’t want it.

I am the same, now I am older I cannot eat the same quality. I don’t do facebook but read someone saying they will buy the standard tomorrow and get the locomotives in the sale. Brainless imo.

It's simple - I already have Dresden, I don't care about the Scotsman on ECML and Vectron doesn't do it for me either.

Might be they just can’t afford it yet too, but yeah overall if you want all the content, then deluxe would work out cheaper, although if you want just either the Vectron or Scotsman on sale, then it probably will be cheaper to just wait those out.

DTG also seem to go out of their way to make their bundles confusing, all the marketing just goes into ‘buy the most expensive edition it’s the best’ & the rest of the bundles get left in a state of confusion.

What really is the point in locking the Vectron & Scotsman into a late October release? Nothing other than manipulating people into buying the deluxe version.

The special edition is badly described too, if you go to Reddit or Twitter (X), it’s full of people assuming the 4 preserved content DLC’s are actually new upcoming DLC’s.

I can’t fault people for not having a clue what is going on with DTG’s product structuring, and playing it safe by getting the base edition.

TSW 4’s bundling is very evidential of the Focus buyout.

I'd forgotten it is being released tomorrow. That's how excited I am about it. I've watched a video of early access ECML - I'm only interested in UK routes - and it looks pretty dull. I'm more excited about the Preston-Ormskirk route. I will probably wait until that is realised. I won't be buying TSW 4 tomorrow. All a bit sad really. :(

Standard Edition, for the price maybe I should have gone deluxe. For those who prefer European locos you get the Vectron and Scotsman. For me as an American the deluxe would have been more appealing if you throw a bone my way. In the case of the route update, I have that route now, so it will update anyway.

Same here, mostly. Own Dresden, don't care at all about steam in general, and I can certainly wait on buying the Vectron.

Are we getting the regional packs from today as I really am not interested in Antelope Valley or Vorarlberg?
I only have UK content (except LGV because it was free and had layers on SEHS) and want to remain so for TSW4.

The only thing left now is to fix the AWS aknowledge button/lever on The Flying Scotsman, so you can use the B button on the Xbox controller for PC/Steam, and increase volume for the warning sound.

I’ve got TSW 4 Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series S and I recently received the ECML update. Despite being a 9th gen console, I don’t understand why users are being encouraged to use the reduced timetable given that we’ve got the additional traffic we won’t get on the 8th gen examples

Because the series S isn’t a real gen 9 console. It simply isn’t as powerful.

Because the 8GB of RAM in the Series S isn't enough to guarantee the game won't crash using the extra layers, if you experience a crash on a full timetable run then you'll have to use the reduced to complete that service.

I would’ve thought that the additional layers would’ve worked perfectly fine on Series S but I guess not

I'm going to assume you didn't realise the person saying 'blast it' was the one who asked the original question, 'blast it' being British for thanks for answering even if it wasn't the answer I wanted to hear, usually used in the context of 'did the train already leave?' when arriving late to catch said train.

As to the installation of the previous routes we had on TSW3, as now is informed a really big patch be available soon for most of them, so I believe we will have to install first all the previous routes, and then download the patch. Won't we?

Hopes some DTG member confirm or inform about this important issue!

Aslong as the content is downloaded after the patch is live, it will have the updates built in.

If the patch went live at 16:00, and you download a pack at 16:01, you will have the updated pack.

That of course assumes the patch went out.

One issue I noticed, from the Early Access, I forgot to mention,... is about Metrolink runs between L.A. Union Station, and Metrolink Maintenance facility some miles way.
Those are "Not In Service" runs.
But the trains it have passengers.

    TSW4 USA METROLINK - NOT IN SERVICE.jpg
So it will be better, if those services will be empty.

May be it is not possible to do it?...

I have downloaded all of my previous TSW version add-ons, without any problem.
Only strange issue, was when you select the "Compatible TSW4" ones, it also starts to download the TSW3 too!
Then I had to stop all of them
    I am on PS.

DTG... please notice one of my previous DLC is Tharandter Rampe: Dresden - Chemnitz.
I downloaded without problem, but... I noticed the BR 185 on Railpool livery, is not included on the route now!
    There is the Vectron.
But it will be great if we keep that one too.
Mainly considering you have already made it.
Is the only locomotive missing on all my previous routes.

    This happened with PS Store.

    Hopes can be fixed.

Any fellow Xbox Series S players having any crashing issues with TSW 4? For some reason, every time my game is loading, it crashes and goes back to my Xbox Home Screen. This was after my TSW 3 routes were downloaded btw

it is a bug for all xbox consoles. Dtg are working on a fix for it. For the time being, try not to play too many routes at once. Only play a select few.

Not sure this is the right section where post it but, i think there is a translation error here. How you can see in the image, in my language (italian), with the phrase "... luci fossato" you tell me to "regoulate the moat light" .
I think it's more appropriate call them "step light" so, tranlsate that in ".... luci basse" or "... luci gradini"

I don't know Italian but there is something in American railroads called a "ditch light", which are mounted low to the ground to illuminate the "ditches" beside the rails. A ditch is kind of like a shallow trench, or even a moat (without water).

There are also "step lights" too though

My computer is running TSW4 quite satisfactorily as well. FRAPS rates are generally lower than in TSW3, but general performance is noticeably better most of the time.
