So woke up this morning, got a banging headache and feel ready to splurge yesterday's dinner somewhere (I'll leave that to your imagination folks, I won't paint a picture this early) and thought I would check to see if the TSW3 Legacy routes are live and see they are not in the PS Store No biggie, I assume that they are going to release at 4pm UK time in accordance to the release of the main game?
One thing I have been pondering, as a PC/Steam user, will the DLC background download or will it lock out the game while acquiring the files? With 60Gb of data, it’s going to take a while and no doubt won’t be available until 1800 BST. Looks like I will be playing Snowrunner this evening and possibly tomorrow as well, if the latter is the case.
Oh well, looks like I will be finishing off my logging in Taymyr this evening and probably tomorrow as well. Then I think the grand finale of the Russia map is dragging the rocket all the way across it.
You do not need to download everything at once. Just uncheck the DLCs you do not need right now, and re-check them later when you know you are not going to use your PC.
My plan is to leave everything as it is tonight and download everything in the morning when I'm working from home.
Can you manage downloads on PC? I'm going to stagger downloads based on what can be used in the new routes and later on download the other content.
I tried to download a single DLC into TSW3 over my hotels WiFi last night and it took nearly 8 hours. So no legacy DLC for me in TSW4 until I get home otherwise I’d need to extend my holiday by at least a week to download everything
That could be a plan. Priority grabbing stuff that layers in the new routes then get the rest over a few days.
You can. On steam, there is a dlc tab on the right side and you can check which one to install and uninstall and it'll be done automatically
Fun fact - we have the same plans. Downloading TSW and messing around Taymyr, although I'm nowhere near finishing it. It's a shame we don't get a preload for the add-ons or the standard version.
Would have been good if we could have pre loaded the dlc. Having to wait until 4 today to start downloading nearly 200gb worth is a bit annoying
Those logging missions are a bit of a grind as you either need to drag your trailer back across two maps to get the next load, or ditch the $13k trailer, recover your vehicle and pick up a new trailer. Unless you use the crane and loose log exploit. Good fun though.
