Hello. I was wondering if in these train sims, you actually hook up rolling freight and drop off / pick up freight cars down the line, Or are these games just traveling from point A to B?
in some scenarios and timetable runs, there will be coupling and uncoupling to be done in the yards before or after the journey along the route.
There is a lot to do. You will find mostly a to b runs, however there are lots of other things to do. You also have other activities like shunting, joining freight cars, breaking freight cars, loading coal, emptying contents, running empties and going to different destinations for some freight services
Now we have free roam you can spawn trains and rolling stock almost anywhere you like on a route and then decide where your next destination will be. It’s a bit less straightforward to spawn your freight cars at a distant location and then drive off to pick them up, but not impossible.
