Introduction Hello, Today I am suggesting the Class 380 as a train addon for Cathcart Circle. I will tell you about the train and what it can do to improve the route and why I believe it will improve the route. Benefits The Class 380 is the most used train at Glasgow Central. Having this in the game would provide alot more layers for Scottish routes. It would be great to have for future routes as the class 380 is a common sight around the central belt of Scotland. It would make Glasgow Central alot busier with the A.I services it provides and not look as dead. It would also give Cathcart Circle a much needed TSW4 upgrade. The Train The Class 380 Desiro is a modern electric multiple unit (EMU) train that could be a valuable addition to Train Sim World 4. With its sleek design, comfortable interiors, and advanced technology, the Class 380 offers alot more potential for future and current tsw routes. It's inclusion would allow players to operate a contemporary commuter train on various routes, providing a fresh and engaging gameplay experience. Moreover, the Class 380 is known for its energy efficiency and eco-friendly features, as well as it's iconic desiro sounds and slanted front. In Train Sim World 4, the addition of the Class 380 Desiro would enhance the diversity of rolling stock and offer players the opportunity to explore the intricacies of modern rail transport. For the sounds you have 3 options, 1: Use the AP Class 350 sounds with changes to doors sounds and other sounds. 2. Tweak the Class 700 DC sounds to be like the Class 380 and go out and record some of the missing sounds. 3. Go out and record it all manually. Layers: Edinburgh - Glasgow Edinburgh Waverly A.I. Haymarket A.I Features: SMART P.I.S Display Midland Mainline GSMR Sounds And Functionality Realistic Sounds Neutral Section Functionality Gaurds Pannels Working TMS Screen Conclusion I think this would add alot more traffic to a dead route and would make this one of the best in the game with this addition. Much rather we got a Class 380 with a new route such as the Inverclyde lines. IMO Cathcart Circle doesn't really need anything else, yes it could do with some AI layers to make the area around Glasgow Central busier, but otherwise the route is fine and enjoyable as it is. I don't want an upgrade breaking anything like most other route patches have done recently. Also the Class 700 sounds were in fact recorded from a Class 350, so implementing realistic sounds for the very similar Class 380 should be fairly straightforward you would think.
I agree. It should come with a route but a loco DLC is more likely then another Scottish route. It would be nice tho.
Always up for some more Scottish content, (would be nice to see some Welsh at some point also) really hope they keep to updating older routes with appropriate Ai when it comes available, a lot of the times when routes like Glasgow or Birmingham were released, there was quite a bit of talk on how they would become busier in time with future stock, but they’re just hasn’t been any guarantee of that, so still possible the one train routes could stay one train routes unfortunately.
Agreed. This is my fav train and desiros imo in general sound really nice! Plus this would really populate Glasgow Central nicely.
